The Conduit is at an exciting stage of global expansion. Having opened our first Conduit Club in London in 2021, we are opening a second club in Oslo in 2023 and are gearing up to open more than 15 clubs across the world by 2030. As well as further developing our club model and rolling out new Conduit clubs across multiple locations, we are also developing our global conferences, digital academy, impact investment and corporate impact partnership businesses.

Purpose & Scope

This is an exciting opportunity to support the strategic growth of The Conduit by overseeing and enhancing our strategic approach to economic, social and environmental impact. The Global Director of Impact will be instrumental in how we grow and develop our impact on a global scale, providing strategic leadership of our global impact strategy, development of key policies and approaches to measurement across Environment, Social & Governance (ESG). RESPONSIBILITIES & KEY DUTIES

Impact Strategy & leadership

• Development of our global strategy for impact including a well-researched and articulated theory of change, that influences all our business and operational activities both through the Conduit Holdco and its global licensees.

• Provide support and materials to staff, board directors and Conduit members globally to allow them to effectively articulate and communicate our approach to impact, our progress, and opportunities.

• Build the Conduit’s global profile and reputation as a leading social purpose business - through our own approach to impact, as well as the stories of our members and collaborators.

Impact policy, measurement & reporting

• Develop and support the implementation at both global and local club level of best-in-class policies across ESG including supply chain and procurement; modern slavery; sustainable buildings management; travel; governance; recruitment and remuneration; workplace culture; diversity, equity & inclusion (across our staff, board, suppliers, and membership).

• Develop and support the global implementation of a common impact framework including a set of quantitative and qualitative measures of impact, alongside guidelines for collating and reporting data, and for compliance with key policies.

• Work closely with our COO and CFO to ensure we have the right systems and tools in place to collate data efficiently and on a timely basis.

• Supporting the Chair of the Board, CEO, COO and CFO to prepare regular reports on our impact for board directors, our investors and our members including publishing an annual global impact report.

• Identifying and maintaining any external benchmarks or standards across ESG at global and local club levels e.g., relevant ISO standards, or B-Corp accreditation.

• Responsible for the development, support, and management of direct report(s), fostering a culture of creativity, innovation, and excellence.

• Adhere to all Company Policies and Procedures

• Actively champions and promotes The Conduit Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Strategy

• Supports and contributes to the overall success of The Conduit

• Alongside your key duties you may be asked to complete other tasks as and when necessary and reasonably required in line with business needs.

SKILLS, BEHAVIOURS & EXPERIENCE

• Experience working within a global business network.

• Experience of working at a senior strategic level in a large, complex organisation, e.g., an international NGO or a corporate ESG function.

• Ability to operate at system level, and the technical skill to develop, oversee and evaluate highimpact grant programmes.

• Very adept & creative problem solver – you will be both strategic and pragmatic, ensuring our approach to impact remains a fundamental part of who we are and what we do as we enter into a period of rapid, global growth.

• Good relationship builder with excellent written and communications skills – recognising the importance of clarity and transparency of information.

• Passion for social impact issues and the need for global systemic change to tackle the key issues we face.

• Flexibility to work non-traditional office hours: early mornings, evenings and occasionally on weekends.

• Able to undertake regular, global travel where necessary.

Reporting lines

• Your employer will be The Conduit Holdco Ltd (the entity that holds the Conduit brand and IP and is leading the global roll-out).

• Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer.

• Member of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) alongside other Director level positions.
