Our Opportunity:

We have an opening for a Facilities Engineer in our Operations Engineering and Analytics Department. This position can be based in Calgary, Denver, or North Dakota and reports to the Team Lead, Operations Engineering and Analytics. This team is responsible for technical/engineering support for operating facilities/surface equipment and managing capital projects for facility improvements, compliance projects, and ESG projects. This job will require working with various internal and external groups to troubleshoot, coordinate execution, and track costs/activity on various projects.  The preferred candidate will be knowledgeable and work according to all applicable codes, guidelines and regulations and the ability to analyze data to solve problems related to surface equipment.  Experience in the Williston Basin would be beneficial but not required. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated and enjoy solving complex problems by learning from other groups and utilizing their interpersonal, communication, and organization skills.  Travel to the field will be required.

Shift schedule:                          5 days/week (Monday – Friday), 8 hours/day

Key Accountabilities: 

Work closely with operations and production engineering to provide technical support for existing, operating facilities

Analyze data and develop solutions to reduce surface related downtime

Technical support and project management of field change requests

Manage sustaining capital projects related to facility improvements, regulatory compliance, and ESG improvements

Update Cause and Effect/Shut Down documentation to reflect mechanical design changes

Encourage safety awareness and actively promote safety in field operations through design and project management

 

What You Bring to The Role:

Undergraduate degree in Engineering

Minimum eight years of experience in facilities engineering

Familiarity with API standards and recommended practices for upstream oil and gas facilities

Working knowledge of applicable facility codes, guidelines, and regulations

Proficiency in data analytics   

Outstanding organizational skills.

Attention to detail and accuracy.

Flexible and adaptable.
