Job Description

We are looking for a Marketing Assistant to join our energetic and ambitious team for a 6-month period (with potential to stay on full-time). This is a rare and exciting opportunity to join a leading VC fund, growing its platform after a successful fundraise and re-brand.

THE ROLE / YOUR MISSION

As Marketing Assistant, you will work alongside and support the Head of Brand & Marketing to execute our digital strategy, fresh off the back of a brand refresh in 2022. We are looking for someone with a background in content, social and marketing to join our team for 6-months (with the potential to stay on full-time). This is a great opportunity to learn about the early-stage tech ecosystem, the startup investment process, and the operations of a VC fund, while producing content and developing communication channels that will help our fund and startups grow.

RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Manage the social media channels and execute our digital strategy, including content development and creation across a range of media and platforms

  • Manage the production and promotion of our materials and digital assets - from landing pages to PDFs, graphics, videos, conference briefings etc

  • Manage our SEO strategy and execute it to increase organic traffic

  • Support senior leadership on executing their personal brand initiatives

  • Support on events on and offline, driving attendance and engagement through digital tools

  • Manage and build out our monthly community & founder newsletters

  • Manage our website and continuously build out improvements

  • Utilise activity with our communities to generate engaging content for our social media and wider marketing channels

  • Measure, analyse, report and improve: use tools including Google Analytics to track progress, measure results and drive improvements in key metrics

  • Stay informed of digital trends and have develop ways to test and learn

  • Provide support where needed on wider marketing & community initiative

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • 1 year of experience in marketing, social media or content creation role

  • Experience managing social media channels and a good understanding of the basic principles of social content creation, planning and management

  • A track record of creating or writing content

  • An eye for design

  • Great project management and prioritisation skills

  • Ability to copy-write for different audiences

  • Comfortable writing long and short-form copy, and producing multimedia content

  • Experience using tools such as Photoshop, inDesign, Illustrator, Google Analytics

  • Drive to learn about VC and early-stage startups
