Job Description

Reporting to the Chief of Staff, this fixed-term cover role will play an integral part in delivering the CEO’s internal and external communications and supporting projects in the CEO Office. The Business Partner will review – and look for – speaking opportunities for the CEO and make strategic recommendations (in consultation with the CEO Office team and colleagues across PRI) on opportunities.

They will prepare the CEO for events, including developing briefing materials and speeches and ensure internal stakeholders are both consulted and informed.  The Business Partner will work collaboratively with communications and external affairs colleagues, including a particular emphasis on aligning with and amplifying the work of the sustainable systems team and PRI’s RI ecosystem partners, and will provide occasional support on communications projects to the wider Executive Team.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Strategically develop and manage the CEO’s internal and external events calendar, liaising with stakeholders on logistics and preparing speeches, talking points and PowerPoint presentations 

  • Working closely with communications, public affairs and other colleagues across the PRI to develop communications collateral in the CEO’s voice in a variety of channels and formats including social media, podcasts, webinars, blogs, op-eds, newsletters, emails, internal communications and more 

  • Support occasional communications projects for the wider Executive Team, for example the annual Signatory General Meeting

  • Provide support to the Chief of Staff by engaging in forums on key initiatives at PRI which will help to inform communications 

  • Deliver projects and tasks in support of the Chief of Staff as well as the CEO directly 

  • Provide regular reporting to the Chief of Staff as required 

Person Specification

  • Excellent written communication and verbal presentation skills, including strong attention to detail and the ability to communicate at the highest level in a timely manner.

  • A collaborative and consultative approach to working with others and a commitment to fostering an inclusive environment 

  • Experience of working in a fast-paced communications environment preferred

  • Experience with a variety of communication mediums and platforms as well as writing and editing to a high standard

  • Knowledge of the financial services industry, responsible investment and ESG issues

  • Excellent stakeholder management and interpersonal skills, including working with senior executives

  • Good project and time management skills

  • IT/Digital skills (Microsoft Office, social media, etc.)

  • Language skills, other than English, are desirable

  • Eligibility to work in the UK
