Job Description

Purpose of Role

Support the planning and delivery of strategic online and offline marketing campaigns to drive awareness, conversion and overall membership growth for Art Fund’s National Art Pass. Assist marketing team members with a range of tasks and projects across awareness, recruitment, retention and supporter experience for the National Art Pass.

 

Key Accountabilities

Assist on the planning, implementation and delivery of nationwide marketing campaigns to promote the National Art Pass, working with media and creative agencies to ensure campaigns are delivered to schedule. Liaise with internal stakeholders around approvals for campaign deliverables.

 

Undertake a range of tasks to support the production of online and offline communications to National Art Pass audiences; including conducting research, writing briefs, obtaining quotes, drafting copy, reviewing proofs, negotiating deadlines, and ensuring high-quality and accurate deliverables,

Assist in briefing and project-managing the delivery of creative marketing assets that reflect the Art Fund's visual brand identity and clear communicates its proposition. Work in close collaboration with Design to gain image permissions and seek relevant approvals from stakeholders as appropriate.

 

Assist in planning and delivering e-communications through customer journeys, content creation and digital services to improve the customer experience using Marketing Automation tools. Work with coordinators and managers to implement best practice and continually improve open rates and click through.

 

Evaluate the effectiveness of campaign activities through systematic testing and analytics tools. Work with the marketing manager and Digital Services team to make data-driven recommendations for continuous improvement to website conversion rates, including enhancements to targeting and approaches.

 

Work with the social media manager to deliver organic social campaigns that drive awareness of the National Art Pass, including researching, briefing, and coordinating content from commissioned social media influencers.

 

Undertake briefings for customer services on campaigns and work with supporter services to ensure any campaign promises can be fulfilled through our existing systems.

 

Provide assistance in testing digital developments around the supporter experience; including compiling lists of bugs and errors, where appropriate work with suppliers on improvements and fixes.

 

Work with Coordinators and Marketing Manager to develop and maintain marketing plans, help report on the success of campaigns and marketing activity, and contribute ideas for new promotions, content and member engagement.

 

Assist Art Fund in embedding its equality and diversity values into everyday practice, policies and procedures so that equality and diversity becomes the norm for all.

 

Other Activities, Duties and Responsibilities

 

Occasionally provide support to other members of the marketing team on campaigns or projects.


Provide  administrative and logistics support within the marketing team and to the Director of Audiences and Engagement.

 

Contribute to the overall development of the Art Fund’s marketing strategy and strategies to build awareness and the Art Fund brand.

 

Actively participate in the wider life of the Art Fund and from time to time undertake other duties as requested, including occasionally covering reception duties.

 

Reporting Lines

 

Reports to Marketing Manager, National Art Pass, but works with Head of National Art Pass Marketing, Senior Operations Manager, and closely with Marketing Coordinators as well as with Design and Digital Services teams.

 

PERSON DESCRIPTION

 

·    Some experience of working as part of a busy marketing team.

·    Demonstrable experience of working and liaising with external suppliers, partners or third-party organisations.

·      Experience of working in museum and gallery sector knowledge

·    Highly competent at using MS Office programmes

·    Knowledge of email marketing systems or similar digital marketing communication platforms

·    Knowledge of social media channels and trends

·    Knowledge of online and offline marketing practices

·    Some knowledge of breadth of UK museums and galleries, with an interest in public art collections.

·     Degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant subject area

·     Good working knowledge of Photoshop or HTML

·    Acute attention to detail

·    Passionate about a career in marketing, with an ambitious, results-driven and proactive mindset.

·    Excellent copywriting and editing skills with the ability to produce high quality, creative and effective marketing material

·    Excellent organisation skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritise accordingly

·    Ability to work under pressure and to deliver to deadlines

·    Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external colleagues at all levels, with the ability to exercise tact and diplomacy

·    Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal
