Job Description
Climate Outreach is seeking an experienced social sciences researcher, with an interest in climate communication. In this part-time, fixed contract position, the Researcher will be responsible for conducting research to a high-standard using qualitative and quantitative methods, with support from the Programmes and Research team. This role will provide an opportunity to apply your research skills to shape the organisation’s research and evidence-based approach.
Climate change affects everyone and to create a social mandate for climate action we need representatives from across society to be part of the conversation. Therefore at Climate Outreach we maintain a non-partisan approach on policy and politics.
This role requires the right to work in the UK, and the ability to travel throughout the UK as needed.

You are confident in designing and delivering impactful social science research, and are willing to develop mixed methods approaches
You have proven ability to review, analyse and synthesise climate change communication research (from a range of disciplinary backgrounds) to agreed deadlines
You have group facilitation skills (e.g. focus groups), or willingness to learn
You are proficient in applying qualitative analysis techniques
You are proficient in using statistical analysis programs (e.g. R, SPSS, JASP/JAMOVI) or are willing to learn
Climate Outreach works with partners and contractors located in different time-zones. Therefore the post-holder may be asked to travel or work outside of core hours to support project delivery.
