The Behavioural Insights Team (BIT) is seeking a dynamic and experienced HR Coordinator to lead HR operations across the APAC region from our Sydney office. Your Key Responsibilities
Manage the employee lifecycle: Oversee every stage of the employee journey, from recruitment to offboarding. This includes crafting compelling job ads, coordinating interviews, managing performance reviews, and ensuring a seamless induction experience.
Maintain HR systems & documentation: Ensure all employee data and documentation are accurate and up-to-date. Manage visa and immigration processes and support compliance, leveraging your attention to detail.
Lead culture & engagement initiatives: Drive initiatives that enhance our team culture, such as our health and wellbeing program, team-building activities, and engagement surveys. Be the heartbeat of our team, fostering an inclusive and connected workplace.
Coordinate performance & development processes: Support managers in setting clear objectives, conducting performance reviews, and fostering professional development. Organise learning and development opportunities to help our team succeed.
Improve HR processes: Propose and implement improvements to our HR processes, contributing to global HR projects to ensure we remain at the cutting edge of HR practices.
Oversee office management (Sydney): Support office management tasks, including maintaining office equipment, managing WHS policies, and ensuring a well-functioning and safe work environment.
What We’re Looking For
HR Expertise: HR tertiary qualifications are required in either a Singapore or Australian context. You bring 3-5 years of HR experience, ideally in a Coordinator or Assistant role. International HR experience is a plus.
Exceptional Communicator: You excel at communication and interpersonal skills, collaborating effectively with staff, BIT’s head office operations team in the UK, and external suppliers and stakeholders. You are adept at managing correspondence across multiple time zones, occasionally requiring out-of-hours calls.
Detail-Oriented & Proactive: You have a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach, ensuring that all tasks are handled with precision and confidentiality. You manage multiple responsibilities without missing a beat, consistently meeting deadlines and performing well under pressure.
Tech-Savvy: You’re comfortable with G-suite (Gmail, Google Drive, etc.) and quickly adapt to new technologies and systems, ensuring smooth and efficient HR operations.

How to apply
We use a blind recruitment process to ensure fairness and reduce bias. This means that during the initial stages, all personal data is removed from your application and your CV.
Initial Application: You will be asked to answer a few work-based essay questions on our recruitment platform, Applied. Our team will anonymously review your responses, ensuring that your skills and experiences are the primary focus.
CV Review: If you score highly on the essay questions, our reviewers will review your anonymised CV. We will look for key qualifications, experience in the APAC region, and relevant HR skills.
Phone Interviews: The top candidates from the CV review stage will be invited to a brief phone interview during the week commencing 14th October. This will be an opportunity for us to learn more about you and for you to ask questions about the role.
Technical Task & In-Person Interviews: Successful candidates from the phone interviews will be invited to complete a technical task and attend an interview — preferably in person — during the week commencing 21st October. This stage will allow you to demonstrate your skills and meet some of the team.
