 Role Summary

The Social Media Officer role leads on all social communication for Into Film’s Educator channels, including Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn, to ensure that content is planned, produced and posted effectively to meet the needs of our educator audience. The Social Media Officer also supports on editorial content, including case studies and photography for the website, to successfully promote our offer to educators.

 Main Responsibilities:

  • Lead on planning, creation and execution of content for all Into Film social media channels to include editorial content, case studies and photography.

  • Work closely with the Joint Heads of Programme and the Head of Marketing and Communications to promote Into Film’s offer to educators across Into Film social media channels.

  • Lead social media content that supports educator facing marketing campaigns across the offer, including new film release campaigns.

  • Support with development and implementation of Into Film’s social strategy in accordance with strategic objectives, including development of new educator facing channels where required.

  • Develop relationships and liaise with key social education influencers to further our reach and promote our offer.

  • Manage all responses to content posted to Into Film social media channels, ensuring timely replies and issue escalation as required.

  • Manage paid advertising across Into Film social media channels, including scheduling, budget tracking and reporting.

  • Manage analytics and reporting across Into Film social media channels for internal reports, including to the Executive and Board.

  • Support colleagues to manage regional social media accounts, to ensure they are on brand and reflect our offer.

  • Provide cover for youth facing social channels when required.

  • Manage photography for the organisation to ensure all Into Film requirements are met and photography captured has the appropriate permissions and is saved in an accessible way.

  • Into Film lead on quotes/endorsements, ensuring that all are captured and recorded for use in future communications.

  • Write editorial content for the Into Film website, planning and creating engaging, SEO-optimised copy

  • Contribute to long term planning to ensure growth in line with demand and resources

  • Contribute to the regular monitoring and evaluation of the Into Film’s work

 Person Specification:

Essential:

  • Experience of managing corporate facing social media channels, including planning, monitoring and evaluation.

  • Excellent understanding of how educators engage with social media and how to optimise content for an educator audience.

  • Experience of creating visual content, tailored for an educator audience, with preferably experience of design software such as Canva.

  • Experience of using social media management tools such as Sprout Social to schedule activity and manage reporting.

  • Knowledge of social media metrics and how to use them in reporting.

  • Experience in paid targeted social media advertising.

  • Experience in growing an audience on social media channels for a corporate audience.

  • Experience in meeting deadlines and being able to respond effectively to social media requests that benefit our audience.

  • Familiarity with the Microsoft Office 365.

  • A love and knowledge of film.
