We’re looking for a Finance Manager

We're looking for a chartered accountant who’s an ex-auditor with a few years' experience in a technology company. Bonus points if you've worked in a fintech company, or used NetSuite or Xero (but no worries if you haven't).

At Habito your first task will be to review and strengthen our existing financial controls and procedures across the whole business which will be key to ensuring that as we scale we’ve got the best foundations in place. You’ll also review financial information, assist with the budget and forecast cycle, take charge of annual audits and help think about how we set up new revenue streams. 

You'll also support people across all of Habito, with everything from accountancy or tax questions, to strategies for driving efficiencies across business lines – explaining often complicated concepts in a clear and simple way. Keeping things simple is the heart of everything we do at Habito. So if you like making complex financial information easy to understand for people, you'll love this job.

More about what you’ll do at Habito:

• Assist with the day-to-day operation of Habito’s finance department and evolve our financial controls and procedures especially around new business opportunities with the experience gained from being an auditor.

• Review management and statutory accounts and look for areas where financial information can be presented in an easy to understand format. 

• Leading on all things tax (with assistance of course!) - VAT and Corporation tax returns, R&D submissions, PSA and P11Ds and thinking about how we can make Habito more tax efficient.

• Assist with the budget and forecast cycle, working closely with the Finance Business Partner to ensure Habito continues to be a sustainable business. 

• Being a business partner to the rest of Habito and providing insight and value to all topics including those which may not appear to be finance related.

• Leading and assisting on the numerous automation projects we have underway in the finance team and looking for new processes which can be fully automated.

• Actively look for ways to improve areas in the Finance team and the way we do things.
