Purpose of Role

Coordinate business to business (B2B) campaigns to increase awareness of Art Fund and its activities amongst arts professional audiences and their museum visitors. Deliver promotional activity to increase uptake of our grant-giving programmes, national events with museums, digital products and services for Museums. Work with internal teams to implement activity across a number of owned, earned and paid channels (online and offline). Evaluate the success of campaigns and contribute to the continuous improvement of marketing activity.

 

Key Accountabilities

Coordinate lead generation and retention marketing campaigns (online and offline), across a number of different platforms and channels, including but not limited to; Art Fund blog, programmatic emails, LinkedIn and sector conference materials. Set and agree campaign objectives and ensure activity is delivered on time and within budget. Set up systems to measure results and implement campaign optimisations.

 

Execute marketing campaigns to support a variety of Art Fund activity nationally and proactively increase engagement and take up of Art Fund’s programmes. Build relationships with internal stakeholders and create compelling content and creative assets to drive partner and prospect engagement.  

 

Contribute to the development and promotion of the Professional Art Pass product alongside new and existing digital services for museums, ensuring greater use of the Professional Dashboard creating a seamless and positive digital experience for museums.

 

Manage the content marketing plan for our monthly arts professional e-newsletter, working with internal stakeholders to coordinate timely communications of our offer, maximise relationships with promotional partners and strengthen our reputation and relevance.

 

Coordinate effective delivery of programmatic emails, targeted solus e-shots and other B2B marketing channels to meet agreed key business objectives.

 

Develop and optimise digital learning resources that raise awareness for professional development opportunities and amplify our support for the sector. Ensure all marketing efforts and plans are tightly coordinated and executed.

 

Brief and project-manage the delivery of creative online and offline marketing assets and content that reflects the brand, working in close collaboration with the Digital Experience team. Liaise with internal and external stakeholders and partners as appropriate.

 

Measure results and report on impact of marketing campaigns to continually improve our support. Routinely analyse the quality of our data and make audience segmentation recommendations for future activities.

 

Support the overall effectiveness of external communications within the Media & External Affairs team ensuring all data is well managed and being a CRM/Data Champion within the team.

 

Research the museum sector, B2B marketing and broader cultural trends to recognise potential opportunities and risks.

 

Other Activities, Duties and Responsibilities

 

As a member of the Audiences and Engagement team, the postholder will work with colleagues across Art Fund and the wider sector to ensure our marketing and communications activity is effective and valuable and supports our strategic plan. You’ll help us identify where Art Fund can make a real difference in our priority areas and build our reputation in these areas: championing diverse and inclusive museum collections, workforce and audiences; reaching a new generation of museum goers that through digital and community experiences, as well as in the museum itself, and; developing a sustainable sector. You will share the energy and commitment that Art Fund staff bring to their work, as well as a belief in the importance of arts and culture. 

 

Undertake other duties as requested by the Art Fund from time to time

PERSON DESCRIPTION

Experience

·       2+ years of hands-on marketing experience in a B2B role or consumer marketing environment

·       Demonstrable experience of managing marketing campaigns

·       Experience of online and offline marketing, including digital advertising, social media and email

·       Experience of briefing and critiquing creative and design work

·       Experience working and liaising with external suppliers and agencies.

 

·       Experience working with marketing automation tools to create segmented lists, build emails, and optimise programmes

·       Experience developing promotional partnerships

 

Knowledge

·       Excellent understanding of B2B marketing.

·       Results orientated, with a good understanding of digital marketing landscape

·       Knowledge of using data and databases; especially those relating to not-for-profit sector

·       Highly competent at using MS Office programmes

·       Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) and customer relationship management (CRM) tools

·       Working knowledge of HTML and design and email software

·       Knowledge of content marketing and SEO strategies

·       Familiarity with GDPR
