About the Role

Very Great is hiring an Intern to help with general business development on our Sales team. Our Intern will have the opportunity to work directly with the Sales Team part-time or full-time pending availability (targeting 3-5 days per week). This is an excellent learning opportunity for anyone interested in getting hands-on experience in sales and business development in the consumer / retail industry. We are looking for someone that wants to learn about building a company and brands, while having a lot of fun doing it.

This is a temporary, hourly position that pays $20/hour. This position has the option to work fully remote or out of our NYC office.

Responsibilities 

  • Support Sales team with short-term and long-term needs, supporting sales expansion across all channels 

  • Assist in the development of new sales partnerships and customer leads

  • Participate in weekly sales team meetings, take notes and ask questions

  • Analyze sales databases and develop actionable recommendations

  • Support administrative and sales needs including Item Setup, Vendor Onboarding, and collateral management for Wholesale partners

  • Complete an internship project from start to finish utilizing the skills developed with a presentation to the Sales team at the end of the internship

About You

  • High attention to detail and excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Passion for consumer / retail brands with an eagerness to learn sales within the wholesale industry

  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment and can prioritize workload based deadlines

  • Ability to work flexibly and efficiently in multiple environments 

  • A self-starter who’s both resourceful but also knows when to ask questions

  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) and Google suite
