Job Description
Summary
We are the public body that looks after England’s historic environment. We champion historic places, helping people understand, value and care for them.
Historic England have a fantastic opportunity for you to join us as our Training Adviser in our Sector Resilience and Skills Team.
This is a Full Time, Permanent post, with hybrid working.
The location of this role is National where we offer hybrid working, you will be based in one of our following offices and from home - Newcastle, York, Manchester, Birmingham, Swindon, Bristol, Portsmouth (Fort Cumberland) and Cambridge.
Remote working, with occasional office visits, will also be considered.
Salary:
National - £32,616 per annum
Greater London+ - £36,078 per annum

What you will be doing
This role will support the Sector Resilience & Skills Team in Historic England to develop their online training offer.
You will support the design, development and delivery of training – including eLearning, webinars and workshops – aimed at improving the skills and knowledge of those engaged in the understanding, protection and management of the historic environment. You will work with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) from within and without Historic England and use your experience in instructional design, authoring and facilitation to turn content into accessible learning for varied audiences.
You will work in a team of Training Advisers, each with their own projects. You will work in a flexible manner and collaborate across projects.
Who we are looking for
Experience in designing and delivering eLearning resources and webinars in industry recognised eLearning software packages such as Adobe Connect and Articulate Rise
Experience in designing and delivering training courses, both online and in person
Knowledge of training techniques and theories, such as learning styles, evaluation theories and how these apply to eLearning and webinars
Understanding of the value of knowledge sharing and the mechanisms and tools to support it
Experience of managing projects, events or activities
