Job Description
The Integrity Council for the Voluntary Carbon Market (ICVCM) is a non-profit, independent governance body that aims to set and maintain a global standard for high integrity in the voluntary carbon market, unlocking private climate and carbon finance that would not otherwise be deployed. To read more about the ICVCM, please visit our website.
The Executive Secretariat for the ICVCM are looking to appoint an experienced Project Manager to join the Programme Management Office (PMO) team. This is a diverse and hands-on Project Management role managing a range of different projects such as HR, IT, process design, governance etc. through the full project lifecycle from scoping through to embedding outcomes.
To succeed you will be a pragmatic, results-focused Project Manager with a keen attention to detail. You will need to be comfortable leading a project team with partners and colleagues in multiple organisations and geographical locations and be able to effectively manage relationships with key stakeholders with differing priorities and areas of expertise. You will be comfortable taking a hands-on approach, developing and delivering project solutions and change activity directly with the appropriate level of project structure in each instance.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience of managing the full project lifecycle, ideally in diverse, multi-agency and/or multi-national organisations. Experience of complex stakeholder management and implementing project and programme governance and structure in a complex, layered governance environment would also be advantageous.
As part of a small but growing team, you will need to be flexible and willing to undertake tasks to support the wider activities of the Integrity Council when required.
This is an exciting and fast paced role, with considerable opportunity to shape the role and develop as the Integrity Council grows.
The ICVCM is a remote organisation, with the optional opportunity to work in London regularly if desired. We are dedicated to fostering a positive work/non-work balance and operate with flexible start and finish times/no core hours. We are also open to more formal flexible working arrangements such as compressed hours, part-time etc. The role is offered as standard as a 40 hour a week contract with 30 days annual leave per year, plus bank holidays.
If you have any questions about the role, please contact the hiring Manager Tom Tyler on tom.tyler@icvcm.org.
Candidates will be told the outcome of their application on 10th July, with first interviews planned for 17th & 18th July and second interviews for 23rd July. Further interview rounds may take place if required and candidates will be informed if any of the above dates are required to change.
