Job Description

Job title: Senior FP&A Analyst 

Department: Finance – reporting into Finance Director 

Salary: A competitive salary is available plus great company benefits   

Location: Flexible hybrid working (Farringdon based office 3 times a week) 

Hours: Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week 

The Role:

What you will do: 

You will be a member of the Little Moons Commercial Finance team which owns all Management Reporting and Forward-looking financial Forecasting. We are a small but effective team, and everyone supports and understands all areas of FP&A & Commercial Finance at Little Moons. Your focus will be on the following areas: 

  • Financial Planning: 

  • Support the Annual Budgeting, Monthly 18 Month Rolling Forecast and Long-Term Plan processes. 

  • Acquiring a deep understanding of what has happened across the full P&L, to provide the best forecast of what will happen. 

  • Improve forecasting analysis to help decision making and insight. 

  • Data, Processes and Systems implementation: 

  • Supporting, designing & maintaining our finance owned FP&A system (Cube) 

  • Managing & modelling financial & commercial master data 

  • Design automated dashboards and make use of relevant system tools to improve the businesses’ ability to automate reporting & self-serve information. 

  • Monthly BAU Analysis and Reporting: 

  • Supporting preparation of monthly management accounts 

  • Working with financial control & commercial finance on variance analysis across the 3 statements for actuals, forecasts and budgeted numbers and reporting findings to wider business and management teams.  

  • Business Partnering: 

  • Acting as a Business Partner advising, challenging, and building rapport with senior management. 

  • Provide commercial insight and analysis on ad hoc business initiatives.

Essential Requirements: 

  • University Degree in Finance/Accounting. Studying towards or newly qualified Accountancy qualification (CIMA/ ACCA/ ACA) 

  • FP&A Systems exposure (e.g. Power BI, Cube, Datarails, Workday, Anaplan, TM1, Tableau, Looker all relevant) 

  • Proven FP&A/ Commercial finance experience 

  • Very strong Excel and financial modelling skills with experience making sense of large datasets. 

  • Analytical ability and keen problem solver 

  • Accuracy and attention to detail
