We are recruiting for two Communications Team Coordinators

The two positions are Events Coordinator and Content & Communications Coordinator

Events Coordinator 

About this exciting opportunity

You’ll be one of three Coordinators working across our content, marketing, media, events, digital platforms and campaigns units. 

You’ll primarily be working in the events unit, where you will take on a range of responsibilities including the end-to-end management of your own online and in-person events as well as assisting the Group Events Lead on larger, more complex events and series. 

The events team help to deliver Nesta’s mission and BIT’s strategy through digital and live events.  In this role, you'll play a crucial part in supporting our events function and ensuring the smooth operation of the wider Communications team.   

You will also help support the team with administration tasks, such as financial processing, managing our busy events email inbox, and keeping track of our events stock and equipment. You’ll also help with events research and management of our attendee feedback platform. 

Beyond events, you’ll also support the wider team in a range of communications tasks.  It’s certainly varied and there will be the opportunity to broaden your communication skills in a fast-paced, supportive and friendly team.

What we are looking for

We don’t mind if you don’t have loads of events experience but you will need to have brilliant attention to detail and impeccable organisational skills.

You’ll need to be comfortable with a broad variety of responsibilities with the confidence to manage and prioritise a busy workload. It’s a broad role so it’s well suited to someone keen to start or progress a career in events whilst gaining broader communications experience.

Content and Communications Coordinator 

About this exciting opportunity

You’ll be one of three Coordinators working across our content, marketing, media, events, digital platforms and campaigns units. 

You’ll work across a variety of communications disciplines with a focus on the content and the campaigns units. 

The content team works across a wide range of disciplines - from graphic design work, to AV content production and brand guardianship across Nesta and BIT, including their respective sub-brands. We aim to deliver content that makes our strategy accessible, digestible and entertaining. From report production, to interactive features on the website, to video series explaining the work of our organisations and designed infographics, we strive for excellence in everything that we produce. 

In this role, you will support the work of not only the content unit, but also with the campaigns team who are embedded across communications and their respective missions. This role will support the campaigns team on day to day activities to ensure smooth collaboration across the organisation. 

You will also help support the team with administration tasks, such as financial processing, managing our content unit email inbox, and additional ad hoc administrative tasks. 

What we are looking for

You don’t necessarily need to have experience in design or branding, but we would love to see that you have brilliant attention to detail, a creative attitude to your work, a flair for visual design and impeccable organisational skills. 

You’ll need to be comfortable with a broad variety of responsibilities with the confidence to manage and prioritise a busy workload. - it’s a broad role so it’s well suited to someone keen to start or progress a career in communications. 

Reports to: Content lead 

What we offer

Location: These roles are based in Blackfriars, London, with a hybrid working arrangement with two days working from the office. 

Term: Permanent

Hours: These are full-time roles but we offer a range of flexible working arrangements and encourage our people to take advantage of them. Many do. NB: There will be occasions when the communications team is required to work outside of normal office hours.
