Location: Based in New York (81 Prospect St, Brooklyn NY), with possibility for remote work on an  East Coast time schedule. Candidates must have the right to work in the US.

Salary: US$ 55,000 - US$ 61,000 (per annum pro rata) dependent on experience.

We are looking for an inspiring, proactive, and outcomes-oriented Sustainability Strategist.You will predominantly work in our transformational business strategy area and our sustainable nutrition challenge lab, which includes our regenerative agriculture program  but should have the willingness, knowledge and interest to support more broadly across Forum’s work. About the team

We are a multicultural team of 70+ people, with offices in London, Mumbai, New York, and Singapore. We continue to grow our programs of work across Asia and the Americas.. Forum brings together people from multiple disciplines - from ecology to human rights, and design to sociology - as change designers and strategists.

This post will work with a team of strategists and change designers primarily based in the US focused on cultivating relationships with Forum’s external partners and multi-stakeholder coalitions to deliver transformational change.

About the role 

You will be working across a number of projects assisting in their design, delivery and management, nurturing relationships with Forum’s network of partner organizations and other key stakeholders helping to develop and fundraise for new projects and supporting the development of content expertise in sustainability across Forum’s programs of work. 

  • Assist in the design, delivery and management of Forum’s flagship projects, which aim to deliver systemic change

  • Work closely with and contribute to nurturing high-level relationships with Forum’s network of partner organizations, with an emphasis on corporate partnerships

  • Help to develop and fundraise for new projects that can deliver transformational outcomes across Forum’s programs of work

  • Support the development of content expertise in sustainability across Forum’s programs of work 

  • Working in global teams with talented passionate colleagues in a collaborative supportive environment with the opportunity to learn on the job and develop new skills to drive impact and systemic change.

About you

  • passionate about sustainability and knowledgeable about transformational business strategy, sustainable nutrition, and regenerative agriculture with interest across  our key thematic areas (climate, food sustainability, supply chain sustainability and/or livelihoods issues)

  • adaptive and resilient in the face of complexity and uncertainty

  • able to  juggle working across a number of different projects and teams and time zones

  • effective at highly distributed and networked ways of working, and adept at using digital platforms

  • familiar with processes and methodologies commonly used in applied systems change - which might include system mapping, design thinking, strategic futures methodologies, social innovation, collaboration, transition theory, etc.

  • eager to work with a diverse set of people across different geographies

  • able to maintain strong stakeholder relationships and networks

In addition, you will have:

  • a curious and analytical mind, naturally making connections and understanding how things fit into the bigger picture

  • good project management skills 

  • strong research and analytical skills

  • Professional Spanish language proficiency (preferred)
