Job Description
Location: Philippines, with the possibility of remote work in Philippines. Candidates must have a valid right to work in Philippines. This is a remote role with regular in person meet ups with other remote team members at least once per quarter and as needed for priority internal and external meetings.
Salary: USD 50K - 55K per annum pro rata. Total annual package will be dependent on experience.

About the role
Forum for the Future is recruiting a Principal Strategist – Energy Transition to inform, deliver and represent Forum’s work in securing a deep and urgent transition towards a just and regenerative clean energy system in the Philippines – specifically with regard to Forum’s contributions as a core delivery partner of the Responsible Energy Initiative-Philippines, a flagship multi-stakeholder initiative to shape the norms and practices on ecologically safe and socially just production and deployment of renewable energy.
The ideal candidate will have deep expertise on renewable energy technologies and the environmental and social impacts associated with its production and deployment of renewable energy and be well-informed of the clean energy transition operating landscape in the Philippines including public policy responses, private sector practices and civil society engagement. We are seeking a colleague who thinks and acts strategically in enabling systemic change, is experienced at facilitating collaborative action amongst diverse stakeholders, and has good networks within the energy system across public policy-makers, private sector actors and civil society. The role also requires excellent stakeholder engagement skills and strong project management capabilities.
The role will be based in the Philippines and be part of Forum’s Southeast Asia team. Alongside contributing to Forum’s energy transition work in the region, a core function of the role involves being part of the Responsible Energy Initiative-Philippines Secretariat, playing a leadership role in ensuring it is strategic and effective in enabling the initiative meets its aims and objectives successfully.

As a Principal Strategist, you will primarily contribute to our work in Philippines and will work closely with people based in our Southeast Asia team.
