Job Description
Project Description:
At Spaice, we are pioneering AI-based solutions to facilitate universally applicable in-orbit servicing for satellites under diverse conditions, including scenarios involving unfamiliar satellites or debris with limited available data. To achieve this, acquiring relevant data is crucial for training our data-driven models.
We are seeking a Simulation Engineer Intern to develop a unique environment capable of efficiently generating data corresponding to multiple simulated sensors within the same scenario. This role requires special attention to ensuring consistency in the movement of the chaser satellite and the data generated for different sensors, ensuring synchronization of the entire system.
Key Activities:
Research available simulation solutions in the market and identify approaches for better aggregating data from different sensors while maintaining realism.
Create diverse in-orbit servicing scenarios, accounting for various orbits and lighting conditions.
Integrate multiple sensors into the simulation model, including RGB cameras and LiDAR, among others.
Simulate Earth and satellite motion across different orbits accurately.
Present pose and motion estimations within a virtual environment.
Display path planning outcomes for rendezvous and docking scenarios.
Collaborate closely with research engineers to identify the most suitable and realistic solutions for the designed methods.
Design simulation strategies aimed at bridging effectively the sim2real gap.
As a Simulation Engineer Intern, you will play a crucial role in advancing our capabilities and contributing to the success of Spaice's cutting-edge AI-driven in-orbit servicing solutions.
