Job Description
About us
At Founders Pledge, our mission is to empower entrepreneurs to do immense good. Since launching in 2015, we’ve raised over $11.5 billion in pledged donations for the most impactful social causes. We offer the simplest path to impact for successful entrepreneurs, providing end-to-end giving infrastructure, pioneering research, and access to a worldwide network of experts.
We help tech leaders become strategic philanthropists by giving them the tools and knowledge to give effectively. Our 2,100+ members include the people behind industry-leading companies such as Airbnb, UiPath, Dropbox, Skype, Spotify, and Uber.
About the Role
We’re hiring a Grants & Monitoring Officer to join our Philanthropic Services Team, which equips the Founders Pledge community with the infrastructure and expertise to execute high-impact giving. You’ll be responsible for overseeing the operational delivery of international, high-volume grants. You’ll also drive improvements to our systems and processes, working across teams to ensure grants are executed accurately, efficiently, and with integrity.
Reporting to our Grants Manager (based in Philadelphia), you'll take ownership of grant execution from end to end — ensuring that funding reaches recipient charities around the world on time and in line with compliance standards.
What You’ll Do
Grant OperationsManage the full lifecycle of global grant requests, from intake and due diligence to contracts and payment processing
Adapt your approach based on the complexity of each request, ensuring compliance while maintaining efficiency
Resolve operational and eligibility challenges in complex or unconventional grant scenarios
Maintain accurate and auditable records across grantee data, fund balances, and decision documentation
Monitor compliance through post-grant reporting and tracking
Contribute to evaluating new recommended charities and maintaining due diligence standards
Improve and optimize internal systems (e.g. Salesforce workflows, dashboards, process templates)
Coordinate with member-facing teams to maintain high service standards and timely responses
Work with the Research team to operationalize thematic giving funds
Provide the Impact Analytics team with accurate data to measure grant outcomes
Partner with Finance to confirm payment details, complete reconciliations, and ensure audit readiness
Act as a reliable and clear point of contact for external grantees
Contribute a compliance and operational lens to team-wide projects and decision-making
Stay current on grantmaking regulations and best practices, and share insights internally
Deliver high-stakes or time-sensitive grants for members with complex philanthropic objectives
About You
You're methodical, pragmatic, and driven by results. You take pride in operational precision and enjoy taking ownership of processes that make meaningful funding possible. You're comfortable navigating systems and working across teams, and you're not afraid to flag issues or suggest better ways of doing things.
What You’ll NeedExperience in grantmaking, operations, nonprofit compliance, or financial administration
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
Confidence communicating across functions and with external stakeholders
Willingness to share your perspective and speak up when something isn’t working
Comfort using tools like Salesforce, Google Workspace, and shared databases
Familiarity with international grantmaking or donor-advised funds
Experience optimizing operational workflows or implementing new systems
Ability to navigate complex financial, legal, or compliance-related requirements
We know that no candidate will tick every box. If this role excites you and you believe you could contribute meaningfully, we’d love to hear from you.
WHY WORK WITH US?
You can find more about the benefits we offer here, but what makes us truly special is both our mission and our people. We’re a diverse team, from both charitable and commercial backgrounds, who believe that amazing things can happen when we tackle problems together. We offer a flat structure and an opportunity to help shape the future of philanthropy.
We ask that applicants to this role are based in the USA, preferably on the East Coast. If you’re based in Philadelphia, occasional coworking at a local space is also an option we’re happy to support. Additionally, if you’d benefit from a desk in a co-working space near your home elsewhere, we’re happy to arrange that.
We bring the global team together once per year for a global offsite. This is a week of collaborative learning, ideas generation and socialising. In addition to this, each team has the opportunity to meet together at least once per year.
We are proud to be an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at Founders Pledge. We seek people with different strengths, experiences and backgrounds, who share our drive to understand and solve complex social challenges.
We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, colour, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, or disability status. Finding solutions to the world’s most pressing problems requires different perspectives and unique ways of thinking and we are committed to building an inclusive and diverse workplace where everyone can do their best work.
