The Opportunity

We have an opening for a Revenue Accountant in our US Finance team. This position can be based in either Denver, Colorado, or Calgary, Alberta. This role has accountability for processing monthly operated trucked and plant sales, processing reverse/rebooks for prior period adjustments, preparing and analyzing account reconciliations, preparing monthly journal entries related to desk workload, and assisting with special projects as required.  As a team member, you will be the contact point for various internal and external stakeholders, so your communication and interpersonal skills should be excellent.   

  

What You Will Do  

  • Process monthly operated truck and plant sales revenues by required deadlines 

  • Prepare monthly reverse/rebooks for related prior period adjustments as needed 

  • Prepare and analyze monthly assigned account reconciliations 

  • Prepare journal entries as necessary for monthly activity 

  • Understand Sarbanes Oxley requirements for the position 

  • Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with Revenue, Land, Production, Business Analysts, and AP/JIB/GL groups 

  • Assist with special projects and other assignments as required by the department 

  • Assist with ONRR audit requests related to Indian and federal royalties  

The Requirements   

  • Minimum three years of experience in Oil and Gas     

  • College degree in accounting related field of study preferred

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel required
