The Role

You are a talented, enthusiastic, and confident person within the London Sport team leading on our Digital and Technology work.  Your work focuses on leading the team developing and implementing strategies that aim to support a range of stakeholders to use Digital and Technology to get people to be more physically active.   

Central to this will be the development of successful internal and external relationships and contribution to overall organisational strategy.

 What you’ll do:

·       Oversee the development and delivery of London Sport’s digital and technology strategy, so that it contributes to reducing inactivity amongst underrepresented adults and Children and Young People (CYP) across London.

 .       Lead the development and management of London Sport’s digital and technology team as they deliver programmes, products and projects, so they successfully support our partners to reach and engage those most in need of support to become active.

 ·       Manage projects from inception to delivery, ensuring they are delivered within budget and on time.  This includes creating and communicating project plans, scopes and schedules; assigning tasks and deadlines and the quality assurance of project deliverables.

 ·       Work with partners, ranging from commercial organisations to grassroots sport clubs, Local Authorities and National Governing Bodies of Sport, to develop and share best-practice around the use of digital and technology in sport and physical activity in order to reach and support those that that are most affected by inequality in activity levels.

 ·       Oversee the use of digital communications channels to reach, influence and engage Londoners and inspire interest in physical activity and sport in the capital. Oversee the design and implementation of consumer-facing campaigns and partnerships to inspire Londoners to lead more physically active lives.

 ·       Develop and maintain effective relationships with key strategic partners that allow the development and growth of London Sport’s digital & technology work.

 ·       Identify and develop opportunities to deliver digital and technology projects and partnerships which contribute to diversifying London Sport income.

·       Provide leadership and support to the London Sport team on key aspects of digital and technology within physical activity, including ensuring that all project work is delivered within the values of London Sport.

 ·       Establish appropriate project success metrics, analyse and report against this data at appropriate frequencies.

 ·       Working with colleagues, secure investment and funds that support the effective delivery of our work.

 ·       Provide leadership, management, and growth. Within your team and across to the organisation.

Who you are:

 ·       Experienced leader in a digital and/or technology context. You can find creative solutions to strategic and operational challenges.

·       Successfully led the development and delivery of digital/technology transformation strategy.

 ·       Excellent influencer and collaborator. Adept at building effective relationships with colleagues, direct reports and other stakeholders. 

 ·       An innovative and disruptive mindset, constantly looking forward to leverage new impactful opportunities.

 ·       Robust understanding of, and/or hands-on experience in, the delivery of successful projects. Experience of working with project management methodologies and in creating and managing project documentation.

 ·       Understand digital marketing and communications. Particularly delivering consumer facing campaigns and partnerships that engage targeted audiences.

 ·       You can lead the strategic and operational process of managing digital products, such as working in collaboration with developers, marketing teams and customer support functions.

 ·       Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.

 ·       Capable of owning multiple tasks and seeing them through to their conclusion, meeting deadlines and prioritising work.

 ·       You are positive, proactive and enjoy working as part of a team.
