We’re now searching for a dynamic leader to oversee our small but mighty Investment Experience Team including the management of our private investor club, Unreasonable Collective. This leader will be tasked with overseeing the end-to-end membership lifecycle of Collective Limited Partners (LPs), working closely with and leading the investor recruitment and engagement teams. This role is all about setting the tone for the kind of exceptional community that we already are, and the unprecedented one we strive to become. Leading the Investment Experience Team, this role will work closely with the Community and Experience Teams across Unreasonable to ensure the heart and details of the Unreasonable community experience are embedded in all LP touchpoints. We will know we’re on the right track when editors of major publications and organizers of gatherings like TED and Davos approach us as the go-to leaders in what it takes to build one of the most purposeful and effective investment communities on the planet.
Strategic Objective
Lead the Unreasonable Collective Experience Team: develop and implement a coordinated strategy that not only deeply interconnects our entrepreneurs with Collective Members, but also expands the community in alignment with our global identity value, in a way that drives resources to and breaks down barriers for our entrepreneurs year-round, at scale.
Key Areas of Focus
SYSTEMATIZE how best to make the process of getting LPs into the community seamless, understanding that it will continually evolve;
ACTIVATE our current global network of 400+ Mentors & Specialists, transforming them into thriving and engaged investors that consistently drive value to our entrepreneurs;
GROW the community to encompass even more impressive, humble, and helpful LPs with a strong focus on diversity, inclusion, and global identity;
EVOLVE tools in partnership with our technology team to make it easy and accessible for LPs to support Fellows year-round, constantly experimenting with ways to reduce the friction to participate.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead the Unreasonable Collective team across member acquisition, community engagement, deal participation, and successful exits.
Serve as the key relationship manager around the product, liaising with high-profile guests, via email or phone, and owning the membership renewal process
Share annual check-in calls with each member and manage the renewal process
Serve as the key point of contact for all at-risk-members ensuring their satisfaction and renewal
Serve as the senior point of contact helping members to make the most out of their membership experience
Work with Unreasonable Collective’s General Partner to develop, document, and continually evolve a strategy for Collective LPs which includes but is not limited to:
Identifying tiers of prominence (individual, UNHW, Family Offices etc)
Mapping details of engagement across the community
Leading the diversity and inclusion strategy and objectives
Establish, continually refine, and manage processes to secure the most influential and impactful LPs possible for the Unreasonable Collective
Develop target numbers, types, and names of LPs in collaboration with Unreasonable Senior Leadership
Oversee the content creation/upkeep and facilitation of
Group and individual briefing calls with prospective members prior to joining
New member recruitment materials (invitations, testimonials, videos, etc.)
New member orientation and onboarding
Oversee and serve as a thought partner to the event and experience team in the facilitation and hosting of both in person and virtual events for the Investor Community
Support your team in collaborating across the various teams at Unreasonable to ensure a seamless event planning process
Support with the execution of events as well as the designing of a calendar of events
Oversee and streamline the communication mechanisms between your team and the membership base
Master company-wide CRM, email, and proprietary IT systems to streamline all processes and systems across member recruitment and ongoing relationship management
Champion Unreasonable Diversity and Inclusion policies and objectives to ensure our community truly reflects Unreasonable values and global aspirations
WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR....
You have experience in community management, event management, program management, and/or investor relations
You are an established leader and intellectually curious problem solver, able to understand the big picture and translate that into strategic direction for harmony and collaboration across numerous stakeholders with competing priorities
You have strong cross cultural and interpersonal skills with proven ability to successfully approach, build trust and relationships, and negotiate across multiple cultures, markets, communities, and leadership levels
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively at a senior level, in both verbal and written forms, with strong interpersonal skills to develop and maintain both internal and external relationships
You are passionate about delivering experiences and love nothing more than enjoying your hard work pay off with guests who are absolutely blown away by the experience you’ve helped curate
You thrive when juggling many moving parts simultaneously, and you can turn up the hustle when necessary
You are at ease and can connect with and/or collaborate with the most senior executives (CEOs, Presidents, Prime Ministers, luminaries…) as well as the most junior representatives in any situation
You always follow up and follow through on time
You are never the person who says, “That’s not my job”
You believe that when work is done well, magic is in the details

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Proven and quantifiable track record of success on prior venture and/or innovation deals, from ideation and sourcing to execution
Strong network within the venture community preferred
Prior investment management experience or experience within a formal VC firm environment will be appreciated.
Candidates who are accredited investors themselves (whether by financial or non-financial accreditation channels), and have done some angel investing in a personal capacity, are invited to apply.

November 10th - 12th: If you are invited to the next round of the process, we will schedule a 20 minute phone call with you.
November 12th - 17th: We will give select applicants a small “trial project” representative of the type of work associated with this position. Though we will give you 5 days to finish your "trial project," it should only take a few hours to complete.
November 22nd - 24th: Assuming both of us want to continue exploring the potential of working together, we'll invite you to interview with our team.
December 1st: Assuming you made it through the reference checks, you will be notified whether or not the position is yours.
January 4th, 2022: Ideally, those accepted will be able to join the company no later than January 4th.
