Job Description

Greater Manchester Better Outcomes Partnership (GMBOP)

This is an exciting role for someone who really wants to make a difference and is passionate about using data to change lives. GMBOP is an innovate new partnership between The Greater Manchester Combined Authority (GMCA) and Bridges Outcomes Partnerships (BOP) which brings together a network of local experts in homelessness, including charities such as Depaul UK, AKT and The Calico Group. The partnership works with young people to prevent homelessness. Unlike many homelessness services, the programme aims to be truly preventative, supporting young people before they have hit a crisis point.  This gives an opportunity for the project to share learning about what really works to prevent homeless both locally and nationally. The programme provides support to young people to help them sustain or secure  accommodation but also provides support across other areas of their lives including creating support networks and engaging in education or employment. The partnership operated a pilot project from 2021-2022 and following its success has now been awarded a three-year outcomes contract to deliver the Pathfinder project across Greater Manchester. The funding will only be paid out when the scheme succeeds in preventing homelessness and delivering positive outcomes. It’s being run as a Social Outcomes Partnership, where the upfront working capital is provided by social investors and council funding is only released when outcomes are delivered. The project aims to assist 1500 young people and will be working with a wide range of partner organisations.

GMBOP uses a Salesforce case management system with monthly reports being exported to excel.

  • Being accountable for analysing and updating volumetric and impact-based assumptions and actuals; exploring, patterns and anomalies in BOP data and systems, and producing meaningful insight for colleagues to improve programme impact in delivering positive social outcomes.

Key attributes we’re looking for

  • A genuine passion to drive social change: We are constantly searching for new ways to change the status quo.

  • Excellent attention to detail and intellectual thoroughness who will demonstrate the ability to lead on impact and value creation.

  • Proven excel skills and an ability to present complex data in a simple format.

  • Ability to deliver more than people expect: We believe more is possible than the current system is achieving, and we need to demonstrate this in practice. This requires tenacity and optimism.

  • Ability to think differently: We will not succeed by copying existing models or structures. Everything we do must be open to scrutiny and full transparency. This requires excellent interpersonal skills and absolute integrity.
