Proton.ai is revolutionizing wholesale distribution. Distributors sell nearly every physical good you come across. Key to the economy, they make up over 28% of GDP. But there’s a problem. Selling as a distributor is complicated. Distributors carry hundreds of thousands of complicated SKUs, making it impossible for distributors to know what their customers need. Proton cuts through this complexity with AI. We provide a solution that modernizes distributors' sales efforts. And in doing so, we help distributors better serve their customers and grow.

The Role:

We're creating a brand new Partnership team. Why? Because distributors turn to consultants, associations, and similar groups to help them strategize and grow, so it's important that Proton is regarded well by these industry players. Translation: The Partnerships team will be a key player in our continued growth.

As Proton's Partnerships Development Manager, you will source, onboard and manage relationships with strategic channel industry partners to help drive credibility in the market, and to create demand. Examples of key partners include industry associations (e.g. NAW.org), leading industry consultants (e.g. Distribution Strategy Group), media organinzations (e.g. MDM), and buying groups.

You will have a significant impact on:

  • Sourcing key partners: You’ll work closely with Sales & Marketing to identify new key channel partners and get in touch with them. Build both formal (paid) and informal relationships that motivate our partners to send prospective customers our way.

  • Building relationships with partners. Become a trusted advisor on the topics of AI, Proton, and distribution in general. Educate partners on the importance of AI (and Proton specifically) to the future of distribution.

  • Creating equity in our partnerships. Get creative about ways we can add value for our partners to ensure Proton stays top of mind for them.

  • Deepen existing relationships. Keep partners up to date on Proton's successes, roadmap, and deals that were sourced from their partnership.

What you will bring to the role:

  • Business development or partnerships experience - a B2B Distribution or Data/Analytics background preferred

  • Scrappy, creative, and sales-oriented - a self-starter with a "get to the yes" mentality

  • Emotionally savvy and empathic, able to adapt easily to diverse environments and cultures. You can read a room well and know how to adapt your style accordingly.

Benefits:

This is a full-time remote position (within North America) with salary of $100-130k, equity, health benefits (we pay 99%), 401k and a generous vacation policy. Some travel involved.
