2 Trustees
Climate Outreach
- Closing: 5:00pm, 9th Jul 2025 BST
Job Description
We are seeking to hire up to two trustees at a decisive and dynamic point in history. Working with our CEO, you will join a board whose role will be to inspire and lead, to help Climate Outreach build and develop for the years ahead.
About Climate Outreach
At Climate Outreach we know that people become the solution to the climate crisis when they’re invited into the conversation.
We conduct original research to better understand what people from different places and backgrounds think and feel about climate. We work with people and organisations to help create the best stories. We help them navigate difficult climate conversations and unlock more ambitious climate action. And we work with governments and policy makers in the UK and globally to show them the importance of engaging people in climate policy making and policy roll out.
There has never been a more urgent time for our work. In an era of economic strain, where many people’s daily lives are getting harder, the risk of polarisation, political backsliding, and lost momentum is real. The UK’s long standing cross-party consensus on climate is under threat. Without the right narrative, we risk division and delay at the very moment we need unity and ambition.
Our purpose is to ensure that climate change and its impacts are understood, accepted and acted upon across the breadth of societies, and that everyone feels part of the climate conversation and action - regardless of their identity, geography and background.
About the roles: Trustee and Chair of Trustees
As a trustee, you will be part of a board ensuring Climate Outreach fulfils its charitable purposes by holding the Board and Executive team to account for the Charity’s mission, vision and values. You will contribute to a high performing Board, providing oversight to the CEO and Executive team to achieve the organisation's mission and objectives.
You will have a clear commitment to Climate Outreach’s aims and objectives, and you will be ready to help support it into its next stage of development. You will ensure that Climate Outreach remains an independent, respected and inclusive organisation delivering sustainable organisational growth, and delivering high impact results.
In this recruitment round, we especially welcome applications from candidates with a background in fundraising and those with an understanding of the current challenges facing the climate sector.
