The B Corp Movement
Certified B Corporations (B Corps for short) seek to redefine success in business by putting social and environmental impact on a par with profit. B Corps manage the impact of their entire business through the B Impact Assessment and reach high standards of social and environmental performance. The B Corp community is a global movement of businesses who provide leadership by demonstrating their commitments to people and planet and create examples of success for others to follow. There are now over 3,700 B Corps in over 75 countries and covering 150 sectors, including Patagonia, The Body Shop, Kickstarter, innocent and Ella’s Kitchen.
B Lab
B Lab was created in 2006 with the mission to inspire and enable people to use business as a force for good. There are B Labs across the globe including Australia, East Africa, mainland Europe and North and South America. B Lab UK is a charity that launched in 2015. Our purpose is to redefine success in business through building a community of engaged businesses, raising awareness of the B Corp movement and championing change in the UK economy. The role of Marketing and Communications Coordinator
The Marketing and Communications Coordinator will be a compelling communicator and storyteller, with expertise in digital platforms and tools and a passion for using the power of business to transform the world. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in raising awareness about the B Corp movement in the UK. This motivated and passionate individual will create and deploy content across a broad range of B Corp UK channels to inspire business as a force for good and raise awareness about stakeholder governance models while developing new, creative tactics to engage with the wider public audience.
Reporting to the Marketing and Communications Manager, the Coordinator will create content for social media, email communications, websites, campaigns, events and presentations. The role will require you to be collaborative, innovative and capable of juggling several projects at one time.
Responsibilities will include:
Create and deploy content for websites, campaigns, social media channels, email communications and event promotion
Daily maintenance of all B Corp UK social media channels, working proactively and reactively to design visual assets, write copy and schedule, manage and analyse posts
Work alongside the Community Engagement team to identify and highlight inspiring stories from the B Corp community; writing articles, interviewing B Corps and coordinating B Corp social media takeovers
Coordinate marketing activity for campaigns and projects including the B Corp UK story so far, B Corp Month and the Better Business Act
Update content across multiple websites, including bcorporation.uk, ourstory.bcorporation.uk and reinventingbusiness.uk
Use digital insights tools, including Google Analytics and Sprout Social, to track, evaluate and optimise reach and engagement of all digital content and report on metrics
Work collaboratively with all team members to co-create ideas for events and campaigns
Respond to incoming media inquiries and liaise with departments to source statistics and data
About You
We encourage you to apply if you have:
At least 2 years experience working in a Marketing/Communications role or if you have comparable lived experience and the core competencies required for the role
Exceptional written and verbal communications skills
Demonstrated success managing multiple social media platforms and an in-depth knowledge of the platform functionality on Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter
A dedicated interest or previous professional experience working with a purpose-driven organisation, campaign or project
Strong organisational and administrative skills
Ability to juggle short deadlines, multiple projects and work with global counterparts
Familiarity with these (or comparable) platforms: G Suite, Google Analytics, Sprout Social, Medium, Pardot, Slack and Zoom
A strong eye for design and experience with design tools such as Adobe Creative (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) or Canva
Comfortable working in a dynamic start-up environment where work is varied, fast paced, and hugely rewarding
Eligible to work in the UK (we will not be able to provide visa sponsorship)
Reports to: Marketing and Communications Manager
Salary & Benefits
£30,000
25 days holiday plus bank holidays and office closure over Christmas
Flexible working hours and a remote working arrangement (currently fully remote)

Interview Process
All candidates will be contacted within 2 weeks of the deadline passing. It is likely that the process will consist of 2 interviews, one conversational interview and one presentation. All interviews will be run remotely over the video link.
