ABOUT THE TEAM

 

The Programme Funding Manager is a core role within the Foundation Partnerships team, that sits within the Partnerships & Philanthropy division, alongside the Corporate and Philanthropy teams.

UNICEF UK’s Foundation Partnerships team is to build and nurture high value partnerships with like-minded institutions, trusts, foundations and statutory bodies; with the goal to unlock strategic funding and contribute to UNICEF’s global mission of keeping children, healthy, happy and safe. These partnerships are key to support a wide range of UNICEF programmes in countries which have the greatest need.

 

ABOUT THE ROLE

This post will be responsible for managing the day-to-day programme information, reporting and communications for one of UNICEF’s key strategic partnerships: The Power of Nutrition. In order to achieve this, the post-holder will work closely with the Head of Institutional Partnerships, as well as with a range of UNICEF stakeholders, including UNICEF country and regional offices and headquarters in New York and Geneva.

 

What we will expect you to achieve

 

  • Provide programme grant management for The Power of Nutrition (TPoN) co-investments.

  • Work closely with country and regional offices, engaged in funding partnerships to ensure effective flow of programme information for effective partnership management.

  • Manage both the programme narrative reporting requirements and the financial reporting systems between UNICEF UK and Country Offices, including the effective transfer of funds;

  • Develop and manage work plans and programmatic logframes to support efficient programme management and reporting.

  • Manage due diligence processes and contracting.

  • Support the International Programmes Engagement team at UNICEF UK, to brief country offices on programme information required to support the wider TPoN partnership and to package this information, to meet partner needs

  • Undertake face to face engagement with key internal and external stakeholders, relating to the TPoN partnership and international investments.

  • Play an active role in the Foundation Partnerships team, providing support on key relationships and activities, as required.

Relevant experience

  • Working on major funding partnerships with institutional donors

  • Robust budgetary finance management and budget forecasting.

  • Monitoring and evaluation management, including complex log frames, project plans and risk monitoring.

  • Programme management within an international development context.

  • Producing a range of high-quality communications, written, verbal and financial, including bespoke reports/proposals for high value funders in different country contexts; experience of confidently engaging with government or institutional donors.
