Our work covers five areas:

  • 1 Strategy: we work directly with CEOs and HRDs to make D&I part of corporate strategy

  • 2 Data: we design, model and measure inclusion to permit more accurate interventions

  • 3 Governance: we observe and improve corporate decision making from Board to shop floor

  • 4 Leadership: we deliver keynotes, hackathons and our full Inclusive Leadership programme to reframe inclusion as a personal leadership responsibility

  • 5 Systems: we de-bias critical business processes such as recruitment and procurement

f(i) has world-class capabilities in designing and implementing programmes in the public, private and third sectors. Founded as a legacy of the London 2012 Olympics and Paralympics, we are passionate about benefitting the clients we work with. They range from world-renowned tech and finance companies to universities, charities and TV companies. Whilst a significant proportion of our clientele are based in London and the UK, we work internationally. f(i) creates real impact - we are a start-up with big ambition and want to achieve even more.

Role

The Operations team is central to the success of smooth-running operations and efficiency across the business. As Operations and Finance Executive, the role provides operational support to the Head of Operations across day-to-day business operations, finance, people management and tech.  As a small scale up business, this varied hands-on role would suit an organised individual who is excited by the opportunity to support and work at the centre of the business.

Responsibilities

  • Operations: Provide general administrative assistance to support the smooth running of our day to day operations

  • Finance: Support the efficient running of our business finance, including processing invoicing and purchase order, reconciling bank transactions via Xero, processing payments and staff expenses, and chasing outstanding payments.  

  • Financial Reporting: Help compile monthly and quarterly reports for the management team and our board

  • Tech: Support our IT infrastructure including Office 365 and Sharepoint, Scoro, our business management and CRM tool, Mailchimp, Survey Monkey, looking for opportunities to innovate and improve ways of working

  • People: Assist with recruitment including all stages of the hiring process, recruitment coordination, candidate communication and onboarding

  • People: Handle HR administration, queries and holiday records.  Support employee relations including professional development process and performance reviews.

  • Stakeholders: Develop and maintain excellent collaborative relationships with all stakeholders, including colleagues, clients, professional organisations and suppliers

  • Projects and Clients: Setting up the new client accounts and supporting the commercials agreement process

  • Project Management: Support operations projects to ensure the efficient delivery of projects against timeline and budget

  • Culture: Championing employee wellbeing by organising communications and networking, and helping to arrange company events, retreats and socials, to support and build company culture.

  • D&I: Being genuinely interested in D&I to develop an understanding of the Diversity and Inclusion, the competitive landscape and subject matter trends

 Candidate

  • Outstanding organisational skills with the ability to juggle a range of tasks and projects simultaneously. Project management experience is desirable

  • Experience in, and passion for, finance operations. Experience of Xero desirable but can also be taught.

  • Excellent standards of verbal, written and other communication skills; with a natural pride in your work

  • Excellent attention to detail with a hands-on, can do attitude to support the core operations of the business

  • A techie who is genuinely interested in technology and committed to creative and innovative solutions.  Proven experience of new technology desirable

  • Impact/results focused, with a genuine passion for inclusion and meritocracy and an appreciation of the value D&I can bring to organisations and the wider world, and interest in learning more about D&I

  • Collaborative with the ability to work cross-functionally across all levels, both internally and externally

  • A team player who puts colleagues and the work before themselves and their ego.

  • Honest and direct - a willingness to listen, learn and adapt to the f(i) brand where we speak truth unto power

  • Ability to challenge and hold your ground in an empathetic and non-defensive manner.  Value and demonstrate humour and humility in approach
