Initial role (responsibilities expected to grow):

  • Update and maintain the IT inventory.

  • Assist in the building of, and provisioning of, laptops, phones and software.

  • Ensure all laptops are patched and free of malware.

  • Help enforce IT policies.

  • Contribute to the creation of documentation, including self-help solutions and wikis.

  • Knowledge of Windows operating systems, PC and server hardware.

  • Knowledge of network configuration and troubleshooting.

  • 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) at Grade C or above, including Maths, English Language and Science.

  • You will need to be mobile – there will be some travel between our London and Frome offices.

Working for CIL

Although we work in structured project teams, we are socially very equal, lively and inclusive. There are no corner offices, no private fiefdoms, no cliques – we work in open-plan offices and are not political. We think ‘a culture’ is something larger firms have to invent. Ours is the product of the individuals we employ.

We are supportive, non-hierarchical, hard-working, unpretentious and direct. We don’t take ourselves too seriously and tend to tease those that do. We also encourage our people to pursue activities outside of work and keep their hobbies & interests going.

Benefits

  • Participation in the generous company bonus scheme.

  • Support to undertake relevant training.

  • 25 days’ holiday entitlement with option to take an additional 5 days.

  • Company pension & healthcare schemes.

  • A healthy work/life balance and support to pursue your activities & interests outside of work.
