Job Description

ABOUT THE ROLE

We’re looking for a Senior Product Manager, responsible for the Online Membership Experience area of our members-only web application. Reporting into our Director of Product, Technology and Communications, you’ll play a key role in shaping our product roadmap, to support member onboarding and engagement with our service offerings. This is a fantastic opportunity to take our member app to the next level, building a member experience which ultimately helps us move more funds to the highest-impact causes worldwide.

Founders Pledge isn’t a SaaS company and a number of our services aren't currently delivered via our member app. A big part of this role is interpreting what depth of presence our non-digital services should have, as we continue to scale the digital interface for our membership experience.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Working with stakeholders to clarify the most important goals and metrics to hit in any given time period.

  • Crafting the roadmap for our Online Membership Experience product stream, with a focus on enhancing user experience and optimizing internal processes for scale.

  • Working closely with cross-functional collaborators, from engineering and design to internal process owners and community managers. You won’t have a singular squad that moves with you day-to-day - your collaborators vary based on the nature of the task and the services it touches.

  • Taking full ownership of your product lifecycle, from ideation and development to launch, growth and ongoing maintenance.

  • Managing and communicating the outcome and impact of product developments to stakeholders and the wider company, with particular focus on tracking defined success metrics/KPIs.

  • Maintaining a strong quality bar in all your product management and design work, spotting and creating opportunities for user research, market research and data analysis as necessary, to work towards the best possible result.

  • Creating clear and concise discovery documentation that is accessible and relevant to both stakeholders and engineering teams.

  • Ensuring that your product updates are right-sized and that all stakeholders are aligned on risks, dependencies and goals of key shipments.

ABOUT YOU

We’re looking for an experienced product management professional with a mix of creativity, excellent business sense and an unmatched ability to work with cross-functional stakeholders. You’ll help us shape the digital and non-digital service offering while our organization scales to serve more members.

A great candidate for this role has a wealth of experience from either a B2C or B2B business, alongside excellent digital product acumen, allowing them to transfer best practices and know-how into the novel territory of Founders Pledge.

The role here is smaller in terms of the size of the target market, but you can have an outsized impact in creating 0 to 1, and 1 to 10 developments for a unique customer base.

Your experience and skills:

  • Substantial product management experience, preferably in early-stage/growth-stage startups.

  • Experience in building a product from scratch or significantly transforming a product.

  • High analytical skills with a strong business sense that guides your product vision and prioritization.

  • The ability to get people on the same page when faced with a complex challenge. While we want you to be a self-starter, the ability to work well in a team setting is a must.

  • Demonstrated ability to guide design (UX and UI) to fulfill the product solution brief and strong copy-writing skills.

  • A strong understanding of the general fundamentals of product management and core structural processes, i.e. problem recognition, user research, development, testing, development, staged roll-outs, etc.

  • The ability to ask great questions (from data, customers and your team) and first-principles thinking. You’ll refine product features that align with user needs and business viability.

  • You’re a good communicator in person, but especially in writing as we work remotely and rely a lot on the written word. You understand when to offer an executive summary and when to expand into more detail.

We’re also interested in the following nice-to-haves:

  • The ability to move fast, but not break too many things - our product development cycles are longer and we have a small pool of users so we care about getting things right.

  • Experience working in more than one business domain (e.g. B2C vs B2B, FinTech vs charity).

  • Familiarity with Salesforce.

WHY WORK WITH US?

You can find more about the benefits we offer here, but what makes us truly special is both our mission and our people. Our team come from both charitable and commercial backgrounds, and believe that amazing things can happen when we tackle problems together. We offer a flat structure and an opportunity to help shape the future of philanthropy.

We’re open to remote candidates based in the UK. There’s no expectation to come to our office in London on a regular basis. We’ll bring the global team together once per year and individual teams will meet to work together once per year!

We are proud to be an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at Founders Pledge. We seek people with different strengths, experiences and backgrounds, who share our drive to understand and solve complex social challenges. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, colour, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, or disability status.

Finding solutions to the world’s most pressing problems requires different perspectives and unique ways of thinking and we are committed to building an inclusive and diverse workplace where everyone can do their best work.
