The intern will work on various analytical projects with an initial focus on supporting analysis of markets, strategic and policy advisory, including characterisation of the commercial landscape, analysis of topics such as key players, products, and corporate and investment activity. The intern will primarily assist in analysis of space and satellite markets, developing insights into the opportunities and challenges the industry is facing, while contributing to other ongoing projects, such as economic impact analysis, market analysis, technology forecasting, launch market assessments, value chain assessments, horizon scanning, among a variety of analytical project work.
The intern will develop a wide range of skills that touch on technical and soft aspects for their ca-reers:
• Research and Analysis. Through training, the intern will develop stronger research and analytical skills by working on a wide range of complex projects that require excellent re-search and analytic capability
• Database maintenance (e.g. QuickBase, Excel, others). The intern will deepen their experience for carrying out research, develop insights, and maintaining existing and new data-bases related to space domains while developing skills and experience on related plat-forms and tools as necessary
• Communication and presentation. The intern will develop their skills to effectively communicate ideas and concepts to senior internal and external industry leaders. As part of this experience the intern will have the opportunity to develop briefings and present to Bryce leadership for review and potentially to the client
Applicant Specification:
The intern must have some knowledge or significant interest of space and satellite sectors; quantitative analytic skills; Excel and PowerPoint proficiency. Other requirements include:
Passionate about space and connecting people and businesses to space
Ability to communicate (written and verbal) with all ages and at all levels including audiences with technical and non-technical backgrounds
Ability to work in a team and individually
Self-motivated and creative
Academic: Economics, data science, business, and policy would be a good fit, but we have no specific requirement. Our firm employs engineers, writers, economists, policy analysts, artists, and many other professionals.
Minimum requirements:
• Must be able to learn quickly and juggle multiple projects with moving deadlines
• Must have strong analytical skills
• Interest in aerospace sectors
• Excel, PowerPoint, and database proficiency
• Excellent attention to detail
Desirable requirements:
• Excellent writing and communications skills with strong attention to detail
• Understanding of the global space and satellite industry
• Interested in technology and space commercialisation
Process details:
8 weeks fixed term contract to be agreed with successful candidate, but nominally with a start date around 1 May 2024, with an expected completion date no later than September 1. There is the potential for extending the contract, as well for the possibility of hiring the intern at the end of a successful internship.
Salary is £1,875 per calendar month.
