Job Description

The National Institute of Teaching is seeking a highly organised and proactive Marketing and Recruitment Co-ordinator to support the delivery of our marketing and recruitment activity.

In this role, you will support the development and delivery of marketing campaigns, help create engaging recruitment and marketing content, co-ordinate activity across the team, and maintain high-quality systems and processes. You will also support reporting, budget management, CRM use, and the development of standard operating procedures.

We are looking for someone with excellent organisational skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to communicate clearly and professionally. You will be confident working with data, documents and digital tools, and able to build positive working relationships with colleagues across the organisation.

You do not need to have worked in education before, but you will need to share our commitment to the aims of the National Institute of Teaching and have a genuine interest in the value of teachers, school leaders and high-quality professional development.

This is a hybrid role, with an expectation that the postholder will work from the office at least once a fortnight, and more occasionally frequently where required to meet business needs. The role also involves occasion national travel, which may include overnight stays.

Main Duties:

  • Supporting the development and execution of the National Institute of Teaching’s marketing strategies

  • Preparing marketing reports and supporting termly and annual reviews

  • Supporting the creation and management of our marketing and recruitment content including blogs, case studies and marketing materials.

  • Undertaking and supporting external photo and video shoots as required

  • Role modelling and supporting best practise use of our internal CRM

  • Supporting the recruitment and marketing team with the management of recruitment data, including pulling and compiling reports.

  • Developing and managing team wide standard operating procedures

  • Supporting the management of the recruitment and marketing budget

  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders across the department and wider organisation, to align project objectives and deliverables

Essential Criteria 

  • A commitment to the aims of the National Institute of Teaching

  • An interest in the education sector and a belief in the value of teachers and school leaders

  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail

  • Previous administration experience

  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills

  • Proficient in the use of MS Office software packages, such as Word, Excel and Outlook, as well as search engines and online databases  

Desirable Criteria 

  • Previous experience of using CRM systems

  • Previous experience of working with budgets 

  • Previous experience in the education sector  

  • Previous experience of working in a remote and geographically distributed team

  • Experience of using Word Press, email marketing software, Canva, video editing experience or other equivalent packages

Working at the National Institute of Teaching 

Contract: Full time and permanent

Salary: £31,022 per annum (plus London weighting if applicable) + benefits
