Job Description

At Unreasonable, we build community between entrepreneurs, institutions, and investors to profitably solve pressing global problems. We believe entrepreneur-led businesses, building rapidly scalable solutions, are the greatest resource available for addressing the most significant social and environmental challenges of our time. Every day, our team strives to give the entrepreneurs we work with an unfair advantage to succeed. We do this by connecting them with our network of mentors, investors, business leaders, and policymakers who are positioned to help them drive greater impact and scale their businesses faster. Today, the 400+ ventures in the Unreasonable Fellowship have raised more than $16B in financing, generated more than $15B in revenue, and are measurably impacting the lives of over 1.4 billion individuals in nearly every country and territory worldwide. But we’re just getting started.

We are now searching for a Portfolio & Investment Selection Senior Associate (“Associate”) who will report to the Director of Portfolio & Investment Selection (“Director”), working collaboratively with the rest of The Portfolio & Investment Selection Team (“PIST”) in sourcing for impactful, scalable, and investible ventures from across the globe for our Unreasonable Fellowship and identifying compelling, investible opportunities from therein that are brought forward to the consideration of the Unreasonable Syndicate investment vehicle. Portfolio & Investment Selection is the fuel and drive of Unreasonable in supporting our entrepreneurs and their ventures. This role is designed to refine that fuel and ensure the ventures we induct into the Fellowship are the best suited to achieve scale, commercial success and impact.

For this position, we’re looking for someone with sharp analytical skills, excellent communication, and a proven ability to identify and evaluate investible opportunities. The ideal candidate will bring experience working with early or growth-stage ventures, strong commercial and impact instincts, and the ability to assess business models, market potential, and founder fit with nuance and speed. Most importantly, they should thrive on engaging with entrepreneurs, investors, and ecosystem partners, building authentic relationships grounded in trust and curiosity. The Associate will be responsible for surfacing ventures that are not only a fit for the Unreasonable Fellowship, but also compelling investment opportunities for the Unreasonable Syndicate. This role blends thoughtful diligence with intuitive pattern recognition, requiring a balance of detail orientation and big-picture thinking. The Associate will work closely with the Director to continuously sharpen our sourcing strategy and investment lens, collaborating across American, European, and Asian time zones as needed.
