Location: Little HQ (NW10) - Park Royal, London

Hours: Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week

The Role:

 

As Hygiene Manager, you will be at the forefront of maintaining the highest hygiene and GMP standards, ensuring our site operates safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with HS&E and FSQ regulations. Your leadership will be instrumental in safeguarding the integrity of our products while supporting the site’s continued growth. 

 

As the company’s hygiene expert, you’ll take ownership of our site’s hygiene and housekeeping systems, leading a dedicated team to drive continuous improvement. You’ll play a key role in setting and executing the site’s Hygiene Strategy, ensuring cleaning processes are validated, compliance is maintained, and standards are consistently reviewed and enhanced. 

 

Working collaboratively with cross-functional teams, you’ll oversee supplier relationships, manage budgets, and ensure the effective implementation of hygiene systems across facilities, factory, and warehouse. Your responsibilities will also include driving internal audits, leading hygiene-related BRC compliance, and ensuring pest control, chemical management, and laundry services meet the highest industry standards. 

 

With a focus on people, you’ll provide leadership and development opportunities for your team, ensuring they are equipped to maintain and elevate hygiene excellence across a 24-hour operation. Your expertise and strategic mindset will be key in delivering a best-in-class hygiene function that supports our business ambitions. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement the site’s Hygiene Strategy, aligning with the wider Technical Strategy. 

  • Lead and manage the site’s hygiene team, ensuring high standards are maintained across a 24-hour operation. 

  • Oversee hygiene compliance, including BRC, HACCP, and QMS, ensuring all processes meet regulatory and audit requirements. 

  • Manage budgets for cleaning chemicals, consumables, and laundry, ensuring cost-effectiveness and supplier performance. 

  • Own and enhance the Hygiene Management System across facilities, factory, and warehouse, ensuring all cleaning activities are validated and effective. 

  • Drive continuous improvement through internal audits, KPI tracking, and risk assessments. 

  • Oversee pest control, laundry management, and chemical supplier relationships, ensuring best-in-class service and compliance 

  • Contribute to the Brighter Future Sustainability Strategy and company's linked OKRs. Support your function to contribute too

Required Experience:

  • Proven experience in a similar Hygiene Manager role within FMCG 

  • Experience of consistently delivering high hygiene standards across site 

  • Robust experience working on internal and external audits 

  • Experience creating, delivering and implementing Hygiene Strategy throughout the business 

  • Passion for hygiene and technical safety 

  • People management experience required 

  • Experience working collaboratively with the Health, Safety & Environment teams to work in compliance with their policies and ensure risks are identified, assessed and controlled 

  • The ability to influence and engage with all levels of the organisation 

  • Approachable individual with a professional manner 

  • Methodical in approach to tasks 

  • Prompt to act and deliver results in a short time span 

  • Self-motivated 

  • An effective time manager with the ability to multi-task 

  • Strong in building relationships and able to communicate at all levels 

  • Support and develop a factory culture in their area in line with Little Moons values 

  • Team player, and able to work on own initiative
