Job Description

At the National Institute of Teaching, we are working to improve the quality of teacher and leader development at a system level. We believe teaching is a fundamental societal good, a privilege and a responsibility, and we are looking for a Senior Programmes Recruitment & Marketing Manager who can help us reach, engage and recruit the teachers and leaders who will make the greatest difference for children.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead national recruitment and marketing activity across our programmes, ensuring that our approach is ambitious, inclusive, evidence-informed and responsive to the needs of schools. You will oversee recruitment pipelines from initial interest through to programme commencement, using data and insight to improve performance, support regional teams, and ensure that the NIoT meets its recruitment targets across the country.

Working closely with the Director of Recruitment and Marketing, programme faculties, Regional Principals, Associate Colleges and our Research and Best Practice function, you will play a key role in strengthening our national reach. You will lead strategic recruitment and marketing plans, support intervention in areas of need, champion inclusive and equitable recruitment practice, and ensure our messaging reflects the realities of schools, teachers and leaders.

We are looking for someone who combines strong strategic thinking with practical delivery. You will bring experience of leading recruitment, sales or income generation activity, designing and implementing strategy, working towards ambitious targets, and using data to drive improvement. You will also be an excellent communicator, confident working across teams and able to manage competing priorities in a fast-moving national organisation.

This is a hybrid role, with an expectation that the postholder will work from the office at least once a fortnight, and more frequently where required to meet business needs. The role also involves national travel, which may include overnight stays.
