Salary: £56,000 - £59,350 pa
Contract: 12 month Fixed Term Contract
Location: Hybrid - London, EC1Y and home working
The Opportunity:
Good Finance is a collaborative project with a mission to be the trusted source of information on social investment for charities and social enterprises. It has an important role to play in building awareness and understanding of social investment in the UK. The Senior Manager for Good Finance leads on the digital content creation and delivery across all online platforms. Our funders The Access Foundation for Social Investment and Better Society Capital have an important role to play in building understanding of social investment in the UK.
The Senior Digital Content Manager has strategic responsibility for reach and engagement directly leading to the achievement of our project KPIs. The key responsibilities are to drive website traffic, develop digital campaigns and to evaluate the effectiveness of our media channels. This is done through overseeing the production and management of the creation of engaging and informative content tailored to our user groups including the strategic approach to content channels. This includes developing the Good Finance brand through graphic and visual content (videos and images), as well as blog writing and managing social media engagement. In addition, where appropriate support for offline marketing including helping with the delivery of events.
Relationship management is a key part of this role, externally managing our marketing partners and other key sector relationships. Presenting and speaking at external events, participation in expert panels and engaging with a wide range of audiences as an ambassador of Good Finance.
This role has responsibility for budget management across our content channels and line management of our digital marketing apprentice whilst also providing opportunities to share best practice and learning and contribute to the wider organisation at Better Society Capital.
What you will do:
1. Brand management
Ensuring the delivery of Good Finance brand guidelines
Developing and implementing a continual process of improvement across content to ensure it is fit for Good Finance users
Supporting the development, evaluation and maintenance of the Good Finance digital marketing strategy
Presenting/speaking/participating at external events as a brand ambassador for our work and speaking confidently with attendees on the project, signposting them to relevant tools and resources
Supporting programmes, campaign and initiatives designed to reduce barriers in accessing finance for diverse communities and their leaders. With a specific focus on sharing insights and data with an equity, diversity and inclusion lens.
Promoting and managing Good Finance within funder organisations (BSC and ACCESS)
2. Digital Content
Managing and overseeing the design and delivery of digital content creation and curation including social media, blogs, newsletters, podcasts, webinars, videos and infographics
Managing and overseeing all our social media channels (LinkedIn, Bluesky, Instagram and Facebook) and email channels (newsletter and targeted campaigns)
Development of digital campaigns to ensure reach and engagement with Good Finance’s priority user personas
Accountable for our content and website KPI performance measures
Updating existing elements of the website and building new pages / resources
Where appropriate, supporting creation of offline resources including the production of slides, leaflets and other visual materials.
Managing and updating our digital resource platforms e.g. Campaign Monitor, Teamwork, Drupal etc.
3. Relationship Management
Leading management of Good Finance’s marketing partners and their contract delivery
Managing key external supplier relationships e.g., with freelance and agency provision
Managing our user insights community including testing, iteration, diversity, and accessibility ensuring these are key considerations.
Working closely with other internal team members in particular the Senior Manager Good Finance Programmes to ensure effective delivery of Good Finance mission and wider social sector communications objectives.
Offering support for delivery and development plans for our wider social sector engagement work (where this aligns with Good Finance’s mission) to maximise reach and impact.
Managing larger communities including investors and advisors, and ensuring they receive regular and relevant updates from Good Finance
Management of quarterly steering group meetings, papers creation and reporting
4. Compliance and Reporting
Reviewing financial promotions and ensuring compliance with regulation and our agreed brand approach
Ensuring activities operate in line with GDPR and data privacy requirements.
Collection of key data including EDI metrics, consent forms, KPI reach and engagement performance.
Making recommendations for improvements or changes to our data collection to maintain project and platform progress.
Track performance of our reach to specific user persona and drive recommendations for changes in our approach
Ownership of budget / invoice reporting for funders where appropriate and relevant (e.g. Good Finance marketing partner, website support agencies)
Leading on contract reviews and renewals where appropriate and relevant (e.g. Good Finance marketing partner, website support agencies)
Qualifications & Experience
Essential
3+ years' relevant experience
Strong understanding of content creation, website management and social media platforms
Strong copywriting and copyediting skills
Familiarity with common digital tools and platforms e.g. Google analytics, Canva and open source website CMS tools e.g. Drupal.
Experience of email marketing software such as Mailchimp or Campaign Monitor
Desire to develop knowledge of user centred design principles and approaches
Creative flair to develop digital resources and content creation
Public speaking skills
Experience of working within either social impact sector or finance sector
Project management skills
Desirable
Video/sound editing
Experience of working in the charity or social enterprise sectors
Understanding of social investment or impact investing
Experience and competency of user led design
