Job Description

North Lancashire Green Party (NLGP) has a track record of getting councillors elected, and working hard to address the climate and nature emergencies and support our local communities.

We currently hold 21/61 seats on Lancaster City Council, and run the council in a shared administration with Labour and Lib Dems. We also have one Green councillor from Lancaster on Lancashire County Council. In the May 2023 local elections we won more votes and more seats than any other party in the Lancaster & Wyre constituency.

 We have ambitious plans for the next few years, including:

·       winning several more seats on Lancashire County Council in 2025;

·       winning a majority of seats on Lancaster City Council by May 2027;

·       getting a Green MP elected in Lancaster & Wyre by 2029.

We are now seeking to recruit a motivated Campaign Organiser to oversee our election campaigns focussing particularly on helping our teams recruit new volunteers, leading on developing ward teams and assisting with the production of election literature and the management of electoral data.

 The Campaign Organiser will play a key role in ensuring that volunteer resources within the local party are well managed and focused on targeting to win elections. They will work with small teams in our target wards to identify needs and priorities, build capacity, provide training and guidance, and contribute to the delivery of our election strategy, supporting delivery of the campaign and fundraising.

 We are looking for an individual who has solid experience of election campaigns, strong organisational and relationship-building skills, and the ability to manage a varied workload and prioritise tasks.

For an informal discussion or queries please contact the Local Elections Manager, Daniella Radice daniella.radice@greenparty.org.uk
