Job Description
Customer Service and Sales Representatives are one of the first points of contact for prospective and enrolled students. The position is responsible for providing excellent customer service via telephone, email, chat, text, virtual meetings, and occasionally in-person events for schoolwide offerings (Expeditions, Wilderness Medicine, Risk Services, and Custom Education). This position is also responsible for keeping track of and closing sales tasks and deals, ensuring students experience ease of enrollment. The Customer Service and Sales Representative is part of the overall Sales, Marketing, Communications, Creative & Expedition Admissions team at NOLS.

What does a NOLS Customer Service and Sales Representative do?
This role sits within our Sales and Marketing team and will be involved in the following activities and responsibilities:
40% Sales: Have intimate knowledge of all Expedition course offerings to be better enabled to persuade potential students into enrolling via phone calls, live online chat, email, text, and other forms of communication.
40% Customer Service: Be well-versed to communicate with prospective and enrolled students and their families in-person or via phone, online chat, text, and email regarding NOLS.
15% Data Management: Use a variety of softwares to track and report on Sales and Customer Service conversations, leads, and conversions.
5% Other projects as assigned

Ability to build rapport quickly in person as well as through phone conversation and personal correspondence with a wide audience.

Collaborate to work effectively in both a team environment and independently.
NOLS graduate is preferred.
Hubspot or other Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system is preferred.
Basic computer skills and a willingness to learn required, experience with Mac OS is preferred.
In your first 6 months, you will:
You will learn about all aspects of NOLS and become familiar with talking points that will help potential students enroll in their desired course.
You will track conversations via multi channel communications to ensure accurate reporting and conversion rates.
There will be opportunities to analyze the current methods and systems of sales and customer service and present ideas for improvement to the team.
