We have multiple opportunities available as we are growing and developing our delivery management community across DLUCH, specifically within our technology and Funding Services Design teams.
The technology team are responsible for cyber security, technical design, IT projects, digital tools, networks and our IT infrastructure. You’ll be joining a programme team within technology who support the technical teams to deliver established and new services of varying size and complexity.

Job description
As a senior delivery manager, you'll:
work collaboratively with colleagues to record, track and manage delivery of tasks for established services and maintain a pipeline for ingestion of future work
chair sprint meetings and work with staff on their plans to enable effective sprint planning, monitor progress, remove blockers
co-ordinate work across various teams in the technology area to understand dependencies and ensure they are factored into the respective planning activities
implement a culture of cyber and technical risk management in delivery. Working closely across teams to ensure that the implementation is effective, efficient and fit for purpose
work with a variety of internal and external stakeholders to understand priorities, enable the effective and efficient delivery of work packages and ensure the plans you are responsible for reflect agreed priorities
manage a small team
apply agile thinking to problems and processes and help to coach the team on effective ways of working across different locations
Person specification
As a senior delivery manager, you'll have:
good experience of using Kanban boards such as Trello or MS Planner, and Agile methods to support efficient and effective delivery
knowledge of using O365 applications to enable effective collaboration, deliver information effectively and automate routine tasks.
experience of using agile practices to support team to clearly communicate delivery progress
experience of monitoring and communicating risks, issues and dependencies across multiple teams and helping to rectify them.
excellent stakeholder management skills, co-ordinating across various groups/teams
the ability to produce reports and communicate progress effectively to a senior audience
experience of chairing sprint meetings and constructively challenging colleagues to ensure delivery goals are met

Grade 7 salary
The salary for this role is £51,934 (National).

The Internal Fraud function of the Fraud, Error, Debt and Grants Function at the Cabinet Office processes details of civil servants who have been dismissed for committing internal fraud, or who would have been dismissed had they not resigned.The Cabinet Office receives the details from participating government organisations of civil servants who have been dismissed, or who would have been dismissed had they not resigned, for internal fraud. In instances such as this, civil servants are then banned for 5 years from further employment in the civil service. The Cabinet Office then processes this data and discloses a limited dataset back to DLUHC as a participating government organisations. DLUHC then carry out the pre employment checks so as to detect instances where known fraudsters are attempting to reapply for roles in the civil service. In this way, the policy is ensured and the repetition of internal fraud is prevented.
