About the role

 

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced event professional to join our team.  The RCOG Events Team organises over 100 events a year for medical professionals in the field of obstetrics and gynaecology. 

We are responsible for all aspects of conference arrangements for face-to-face, virtual and hybrid events including programme and speakers, delegate management and event logistics. Since 2020, virtual events continue to form the core of our event programme along with some in-person practical courses and hybrid events.

 

Responsibilities:

As one of two Event Managers, you will have the following responsibilities.  

  • To work with the Head of Events developing the activities of the Events Team and taking the lead on procedures and processes.

  • To have responsibility for delivery of events, both face-to-face and virtually.

  • To assist with the day-to-day management of the Events Team.

  • To ensure a high standard of customer service to all event stakeholders, dealing with high level discussions and escalated issues.

  • To provide guidance and support to other departments on event best practice across all formats.

  • To deputise for the Head of Events when requested or when they are unavailable.

 

About you

This position will suit an experienced events professional who is looking to join a friendly, hardworking team running events to support our members. 

 

Requirements:

  • Significant experience of conference or events management.

  • Experience of producing and managing budget.

  • Experience of implementing and working on cross-team projects.

  • Experience of virtual event delivery.

  • Experience of development process guidance and training peers/team members.
