About the Role
Very Great is looking for a dynamic and experienced Social Media Manager to lead strategy and management of our social media channels for our brands. If you are enthusiastic about storytelling, social trends, emerging platforms, and building community, this role is for you!
As the Social Media Manager, you will play a key role in crafting and executing our social strategy. You will be at the heart of creating exciting, engaging and shareable social campaigns that increase brand awareness and reach. You will partner closely with our Marketing and Creative teams to support brand campaigns, key moments, and product launches.
The ideal candidate is tapped into social media and digital trends, with a deep understanding of campaign storytelling and social strategy.
This role reports to the Director of Brand Marketing and is based in NYC.
Responsibilities
Support Very Great brands’ (Wild One, W&P, and Courant) content strategy across existing social channels for brand campaigns, product launches, key product moments, and evergreen activations
Manage day-to-day social media channels (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and emerging channels) including planning the social media calendar, posting content and stories, community management, and preserving brand voice, tone, and aesthetic
Write social post captions and copy for all content (e.g. stories, comments)
Respond to inbound influencer and brand partnership inquiries through social
Support paid and unpaid Influencer partnerships and programs
Identify and catalog strong customer and influencer UGC for the Marketing team to use across all channels
Engage with community members through tagged posts, direct messages, comments, and synergistic content
Monitor cultural moments and social trends, and adapt them where relevant and appropriate for each brand
Keep a pulse on emerging trends and social platforms, and work with Marketing, Brand, and Creative teams to evaluate the relevance for each brand and go-to-market strategies for executing
Create a go-to-market plan to establish a more consistent presence on TikTok for our brands
About You
3-5 years of relevant marketing experience
A self-starter with a demonstrated ability to tackle projects independently and collectively
Deep understanding and passion for social media strategy (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and Pinterest) and the digital landscape
Creative mind with an elevated eye for detail and design, tied to modern consumer product trends
Demonstrated history managing & growing multiple social media accounts (personal or brand)
Strong copywriting skills and understanding of how to translate brand vision and tone of voice into compelling social copy
Superior verbal and written communication skills
Willingness to learn on the job, be flexible, ask questions, and be a team player
Enjoy working with a small team with exposure to several parts of the business, marketing and creative
Total Rewards Package
The annual base salary range for this position is between $70,000 - $85,000.
