Project Description
We are seeking an Events assistant to help coordinate our attendance as exhibitors at the UK Space Conference, SmallSat, and DroneX. This role will support event logistics, including ordering marketing materials, liaising with external suppliers, and ensuring relevant materials a provided on time.
Additional responsibilities include providing on-stand support during events to ensure smooth operations and effective engagement with visitors. The ideal candidate will have strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to event coordination. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in delivering high-profile industry events.
Over the 8 weeks, we hope you will develop your skills and understanding in:
Ordering and managing marketing materials, ensuring timely delivery to events.
Coordinating with external suppliers to arrange shipments and deliveries.
Assisting with event planning tasks, including schedules, stand setup logistics, and inventory tracking.
Supporting the setup and breakdown of the exhibition stand.
Managing marketing materials and giveaways to ensure an organised and professional display.
Providing on-stand support, engaging with visitors, answering general questions, and ensuring smooth operations.
Assisting with real-time troubleshooting, such as last-minute supply needs or technical stand issues.
Helping with debriefs and reporting, gathering feedback for future improvements.
Assisting with the return of materials and equipment to storage or suppliers.
The successful applicant will have the following skills:
Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Event Management, Marketing, Business, or a related field.
Strong organisational and time-management skills.
Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Desirable Requirements:
Experience in event coordination or logistics (academic or professional).
Familiarity with marketing materials and branding.
Interest in the space or technology sectors.
Previous experience working at events or in a customer-facing role.
Process details:
8 weeks minimum fixed term contract to be agreed with successful candidate
In-person Induction Event to be held on 23rd June 2025, and an in-person/hybrid Showcase Event
5 days holiday to be taken during the placement
