Job Description

Summary

We are the public body that looks after England’s historic environment.  We champion historic places, helping people understand, value and care for them.

We have a fantastic opportunity for you to join us as an IMT Change and Communications Support Officer.

In this role you will oversee the management, production and support of communications and messages for IMT projects and operational services, using our various platforms.

For project work, key points of communication will need to be identified throughout project lifecycles, working closely with programme, project managers and business owners – from inception all the way through to completion and handover into support.

For operational services the work will involve close liaison with the Service Delivery and Operational teams to identify the scope of change and how that needs to be communicated.  This will include working with the Training Team to ensure that there is end to end support.  The role will provide administrative assistance to the Change and Communications Manager, managing diaries, arranging a variety of meetings and overall helping to deliver IMT’s communication strategy.

What you will be doing

  • Provide administrative help to the Change and Communications Manager, including arranging meetings, managing Teams and SharePoint sites along with Intranet pages to ensure content is accurate, timely and current.

  • Liaise with and understand the requirements of Project and Programme managers, IMT Senior Management team and business stakeholders, developing working relationships to provide effective outcomes.

  • Effectively plan and write clear communications, briefs and messages, adapting the style of messaging to deliver clear, concise messages appropriate to the audience in question.

  • Assist the Change and Communications Manager in maintaining the IMT Communications strategy and plan, updating the plan to mark progress, new and completed tasks and to provide reports to the Head of IMT as to the overall progress against outlined targets.

    What we are looking for

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Good interpersonal skills and experience of relationship building

  • Passion for the world of tech

  • Previous experience of MS 365 apps, particularly SharePoint
