Base of Operations: Austin, Texas
Travel Expectations: Candidates must reside in the Austin, Texas area with the ability to travel to the Austin Office as required.

Description: Under the supervision of the Vice President of Communications, the Marketing Communications Specialist is responsible for supporting marketing and communication efforts that promote, educate, and bring awareness to the CACTX’s vision to eradicate child sexual abuse.
Essential Job Functions:
Partners with team members across the organization to gather and synthesize information relevant to marketing and communication efforts to end child sexual abuse.
Collaborates and partners with team members across the organization to assess and determine the need and most effective plan to execute marketing and communications materials.
Co-creates and refines strategies and processes for implementation, execution, and optimization of marketing and communications efforts.
Builds credibility by designing sophisticated assets such as web pages, brochures, logos, signage, reports, presentations, event collateral, document templates, and other communication or marketing materials.
Presents design ideas, content, concepts, and recommendations to the Vice President of Communications or other key partners for internal review and approval.
Monitors internal marketing and communications assets delivery on vision through brand alignment.
Monitors, manages, and updates CACTX’s social media accounts and website, including creation of assets or campaigns to increase awareness and engagement.
Assists in vendor procurement and management of third-party communications partners.
Networks with potential vendors and industry experts to identify opportunities for collaboration.
Stays up to date on advances in design and technology to identify areas of use and improvement for the organization.
Responsible for any brand or campaign maintenance that is outlined in any deployment process.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience or related degree/course work in graphic design or related field of study.
Uses graphic design skills and experience and knowledge of current software to produce graphic art and visual materials and content.
Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud, including Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop. Experience in Dreamweaver, HTML, and/or CSS is a plus.
Proficiency in social media with ability to grow strategic audiences and articulate metrics.
Strong concept, layout, and typographical skills.
Understands the basic principles of design.
Portfolio of work to share.
Experience with file prep prior to issuing files to vendors or printers.
Strong attention to detail and ability to take others' ideas and translate them visually.
Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to distill complex information concisely.
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills. Skill in working and connecting with a diverse group of colleagues and partners.
Ability to adapt, oversee, and manage multiple projects simultaneously, work independently, prioritize responsibilities, and identify and resolve conflicts in a timely and appropriate manner.
Candidates must reside in the Austin, Texas area and have reliable transportation with the ability to travel to CACTX’s Austin office as needed. We have invested in technology, facilities, and infrastructure to allow staff to have the flexibility to work remotely but also have a collaborative physical office space that fosters connectivity.
Must have reliable and effective internet connectivity to fulfill job duties if working remotely.
