Job Description

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Casework Support Administrator to join the Specialist Services team at SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity.

 

This is an excellent opportunity for an applicant with strong IT skills who can navigate our casework management system who can in turn provide top quality customer service when supporting our casework operations and network of volunteers.

 

Under the direction of the Casework Support Manager and Head Specialist Services you will act as the operational point of contact in relation to the casework management system. Providing expert advice about the system to the volunteer network and management system Champions, running reports and obtaining statistics.

 

You will also support the production of new, good practice guides, process and policy documentation and training materials for the use of the management system allowing you to develop document creation and initiation.

 

This role would be great for anyone looking to develop their skills of IT, database management, working with volunteers and gaining experience within the Armed Forces third sector.

 

About the team

The Specialist Services team provide a range of services to our beneficiaries and volunteers, including mentoring, support in the criminal justice service, Gurkha support, casework support and mental wellbeing. The team is extremely diverse and all have a range of skills and experiences that complement and support each other. We have a very good team ethic and although the services are independently run, they complement and overlap each other. Our regular catch ups provide an opportunity to learn more about the services, broadening our knowledge and expertise.

About you

 

We would like you to demonstrate IT skills, presenting proven experience of Microsoft Office programmes and casework management systems with high quality administration skills. These are crucial to perform effectively. An ability to analyse statistical data within reports is a must and being able to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders is key to this role. This is a varied role requiring you to have good time management.
