Job Description

We’re building a dedicated product and performance function at dxw. To do this, we need to recruit and develop people who have a broad range of skills and experience to deliver across several specific roles.

We aim to become a centre of excellence for analysis and product management in the public and third sectors. People from this function will be part of our multidisciplinary delivery teams, generally working on large central government projects and programmes.

About the role

We’re looking for full time product managers who are passionate about transforming public services to join this new function.

As a member of the dxw team, you will report to the Head of Product and Performance, and will be responsible for:

  • scoping and managing products through the delivery lifecycle

  • working with clients to understand their user’s needs and strategic goals to help them create a vision for their products

  • providing leadership as product roadmaps and backlogs are created, prioritised and refined

  • providing product direction in dxw delivery teams

  • working with clients and stakeholders to engage them on products and to build their confidence and capability

  • providing product support and coaching to team members and Product Owners

Joining the function at this exciting time means that you will be working closely with the Head of Product and Performance to shape the function and its tools, methods and approaches to build a centre of excellence in the field of public sector product management and analysis.

About you

You will have worked in agile, multi-disciplinary product teams and have a track record of managing digital products in complex public sector organisations.

You thrive on balancing user research outputs against an organisation’s strategic vision to create and prioritise product backlogs.

As an adept communicator, you will be able to engage stakeholders at various levels, leading as well as facilitating vision for a product and working with technical and non-technical staff and clients.

You will be comfortable working with a range of different products, from informational websites to large transactional services for both internal and citizen users.

You will be able to prioritise work effectively, choosing between competing options quickly and pragmatically, and identifying KPIs and metrics for services to support product strategy.

You will be keen to shape the structure of your role within dxw, refining it as the company’s needs evolve and your career develops.
