For the past decade and a half we've been recognised for working with and supporting leaders in public services to tackle the knotty problems and make changes that last. What we look for

We value the broad experience of our freelance associates, who work within our core consulting teams to deliver lasting change in public services whilst retaining flexibility.

As an associate, you would be an integral part of our team and build strong ties with our staff and clients. You may work on projects for just a few days or for extended periods. You may take on a broad-ranging project role or responsibility for specialist aspects. Associates join us at different levels depending on their experience, and work alongside our staff members.

We’re particularly looking for people with expertise in one of our business units (Performance, Digital or Strategy) or with deep sector knowledge in a particular area of public service, such as health, universities or central government. We have specific needs in roles from analyst to programme manager (min 2 years’ experience) within the following areas:

  • NHS/healthcare strategy and management

  • HM Treasury business cases

  • Strategic problem-solving methodologies

  • Building analytical models using established best practice methodology (default in Excel)

  • Data science and advanced analytical skills – e.g., using large/complex data sets to solve specific strategic and operational problems; strong statistical understanding and application of techniques; expertise in R and Python,

  • Project/programme management and PMO

  • Health planning

  • Capital programmes

  • Engagement with board-level stakeholders / clinical leadership
