Job Description 

Appraisals Specialist – Inigo 

 

Purpose 

Appraisals Specialists are trusted brand representatives and their focus is winning new business.  They are responsible for travelling to meet potential clients at their homes, providing them with market appraisals and working with them to develop effective marketing strategies, while ensuring their work is compliant with company and industry standards and regulations. 

 

Responsibilities 

The Appraisals Specialist's core responsibilities are: 

  • To win new business (residential & on occasion commercial property) across the UK by travelling to meet clients at their homes 

  • To pitch to and build relationships with potential clients and architects, delivering an outline of the company’s value propositions and service  

  • To research and write up sales particulars  

  • To ensure their work is compliant by logging information in our database in an accurate and timely manner  

  • To represent the brand successfully by being well presented, articulate, design literate and knowledgeable about the UK property market  

  • To support appraisals team members and cover colleagues work in their absence 

 

 

Knowledge & skills 

  • Strong knowledge and interest in architectural design and/or the built environment  

  • Several years' experience in a relevant industry (architecture, design, estate agency, art, auctions)  

  • Experience managing client relationships 

  • Experience winning new business  

  • Motivated by commercial targets 

  • Knowledge of or interest in the UK property market and sales process  

  • Negotiation skills and strategic/analytical thinking 

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills – with an emphasis on honesty and clarity  

  • Good understanding of UK geography and regionality, and desire to travel  

  • Experience working collaboratively as part of a team  

  • Confident presentation skills  

  • Strong organiser, time-manager and multi-tasker  

  • UK Driving Licence and/or appetite to travel

Appraisals Specialists Report to the Appraisals Manager 

They work alongside: 

  • Client Operations team 

  • Sales Advisors
