Job Description
Summary
We are the public body that looks after England’s historic environment. We champion historic places, helping people understand, value and care for them.
Historic England have a fantastic opportunity for you to join us as our Accounts Payable Assistant.
What you will be doing
As our Accounts Payable Assistant, you will accurately check and process payment transactions in line with organisational and customers’ Service Level Agreement Key Performance Indicators, providing first contact point customer respond and delivering timely, efficient and effective administrative support.
You will accurately process supplier invoices, grants, payment requests, volunteer expense claims and associated transactions (including BACS rejects, cancelled and uncleared cheques), in line with desk procedures.
Also carrying out Accounts Payable processing related control checks as required.
