About the Role
The Web Project Manager is the central point between the web and brand teams at Very Great. You will help manage the internal web design and development processes from discovery to deployment for multiple brands, ensuring seamless execution, on time delivery and flawless results.
This role requires a professionally mature individual with experience balancing the needs of multiple businesses while staying fair and balanced in their approach to proactively solving problems in a diplomatic and collaborative manner. Very Great is based in NYC, but this position can be full-time remote (US based). This position reports to the Director of Web Services.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the planning, prioritization, scheduling, development, and execution of all Web projects including but not limited to new sites, redesigns, features, landing pages, and other various digital experiences for several brands.
- Manages all workflows into and out of the department, determines timelines, runs status meetings, knows every detail of assigned projects, negotiates deadlines, and communicates blockers at each stage.
- Identify gaps in resourcing, onboard and assist in managing Very Great’s network of freelance developers.
- Evaluate web project requests to ensure completeness and accuracy of required information. Hold team members accountable to provide any and all required information to move projects forward.
- Work with the Web team to assess project requirements, identify project components and respective stakeholders, stages of approval, and help determine necessary assets or copy.
- Lead all project communications keeping all cross functional partners and respective stakeholders aware of project status, requirements, impediments, and potential risks and/or trade-offs.
- Organize and facilitate project meetings (kickoffs, check ins, reviews) to ensure they are productive and high value.
- Strive for continuous improvement by collaborating with the Web Team Director to define and implement new processes and best practices.
About You
- Minimum of three years project management experience in Web/eCommerce and high familiarity with Shopify.
- Extensive knowledge of advancements and trends in web design and development.
- Self-starter with experience translating web requests and projects into timelines, tasks, and final deliverables.
- Identifies gaps in information and processes, and defines solutions.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
- Exceptionally organized and detail-oriented.
- Experience working in a fast-paced startup environment.
- Learns quickly and is able to communicate new information at both detailed and high levels.
- Facilitates and builds one-on-one as well as group relationships to support cross-functional work and ensure up-to-date information is properly communicated.
- Able to help prioritize work and understand project requirements based on KPIs and business impact.
- Familiarity with technical specifications and best practices for Web Accessibility, file sizes and types, image and video resolution, etc.
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop in particular.
- Strong proficiency in Google Docs / Microsoft Office software
- Experience with project management software, Monday in particular.
